According to their own graph I see max power to be about130 Kw@3800 rpm and max torque to be about 470Nm @2600rpm with only about 430Nm @1800rpm.
It has to be wrong info. The L630 DOHC is listed numerous places as having 240hp/420lb-ft. If your info was true, the 0-60 tests would have resulted in 8+ sec runs...and the Aussie's would be bitching about lack of power. So far, none of this has been seen...just the opposite.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...Motori_engines

Edit: If the L630 really ends up being 190hp....I may refuse delivery on mine. I wonder if all the reviewers referenced the specs on the A630 mistakenly? This could be a fiasco if Chrysler allowed these specs to go uncorrected for the last 9 months....the Aussie's have the A630. I HATE THE EPA.

Did you take delivery yet? At least there might be one happy story for one of us.

Somewhere a while back, someone with more knowledge about diesels than me posted that the DEF actually allows an increase in the torque of the engine.
The reasoning being that without the urea catalyst they have to seriously tune down the engine to reduce the NOX emissions. With the DEF catalyst system taking care of the NOX emissions they are more free to "tune up" the engine. Maybe this is the reason that you are seeing different figures on VM's website. They may be talking about European engines while ours are obviously for the US market.

I'm not sure where you're looking, but the VM Motori website lists 179 KW and 579 NM max horsepower and torque, which is exactly what Jeep claims. I doubt the graphs are correct.

Re: 2014 diesel production

The graphs do not match their posted information. Going by the graphs, the European version only has 520 Nm of torque, shy of the posted 550nm.

Furthermore, Jeep's EcoDiesel page specifically states 240hp/420lb-ft.

I think it does have to do with dyno testing.
