According to their own graph I see max power to be about130 Kw@3800 rpm and max torque to be about 470Nm @2600rpm with only about 430Nm @1800rpm.

Check the other version graphs and numbers, they simply published the wrong chart for the NA engine.

Looking at VM Motori website, it seems the North American model is constricted compared to European version. The graph shows this; if you click on the "data sheet" below the graph and click on this, it shows MAXIMUM engine performance which seems to be before the engine is constricted to meet North American standards. To say the least, I am concerned about the performance based on the graph...

If you are concerned at all about the performance then wait to drive one before you order/take delivery.

Or... trust that Bluespark can make it all better.

Bottom line... Jeep wouldn't put hp and torque numbers on their website for a vehicle if they knew they were wrong! The jeeps make what they say it does...

There is MANY variants of each motor including Solenoid and Piezo systems...

See attached dock for the official specs. I attached the FULL doc in PDF as well.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Thanks for the info guys, I just wasn't expecting that drastic of a difference between the NA and Euro models, but I know it will still be better than any gas option.

That is simply not the case. It is illegal for jeep to put false numbers on their website and they are SAE tested/verified. The performance numbers from reviewers that have tested the vehicle are commensurate with 240 HP / 420 lb ft.

Click on the bottom "data sheet" page 2:

http://www.vmmotori.it/en/automotive...l630-dohc.html

And you will see I am correct.
