They used/posted the incorrect graph for the NAFTA diesel. The graph is wrong, not everything else.

Based on how things were going, I thought it would have been built last week... Then this week nothing to date as well?? There were a few built the week before last with a 9/20 D1. Any insight and wisdom would be appreciated.

Re: 2014 diesel production

From what I've gathered, there are numerous factors which influence production schedule. You will likely never know why it was delayed compared to others.

Perhaps not related at all, but the Chrysler regional district managers from the Houston area are in Detroit for meetings this week.

Many times they do that for big rollouts.. I'd be willing to bet many of those same diesels you guys saw the other day will be driven away (probably from Auburn Hills) by regional reps across the country as demos/instruction vehicles.. Texas may be atop the list!

Doesn't using a mod chip void the warranty?

Not the entire warranty, but if anything breaks due to the chip, you better believe you will be paying for the repairs, but a mod chip won't void the warranty on the seats or something.

Right, but has to be proven to be a result of the chip... Like if you set it all the way up and then tow 7000 pounds up a mountain you will likely destroy your engine.

http://www.autos.com/aftermarket-par...an-engine-chip

I have to believe the Chrysler/Jeep/VM Motori engineers have spent thousands of hours tuning this engine for the intended use and integration with the transmission and emission systems to meet specs and regulations. I'm assuming the stock CRD will do everything I want it to without any mods. So I'm not going to risk any potential damage or voided warranty. Just doesn't seem worth it to me, but to each his own.
