Re: 2014 diesel production

Will MOTS instantly update when they start to ship or do we just wait for indication from Chevy, Milous, Willx etc?

I am guessing Milous and Willx will post it here first. I would imagine they probably could not contain their excitement in updating a hundred MOTS lists before notifying the masses. Time will tell.

Wait for updates. MOTS is manually compiled.

You MIGHT see your window sticker get validated first if you check it often enough. There is an online portal that generates a PDF of your window sticker after the actual sticker is printed. I have no idea how long it lags behind the printing.

Might as well let this one out of the bag, Milous and I have a deal that basically checks the Diesels for a Release status 24/7 (just about anyway). I review the information a number of times in the early morning to Mid-Afternoon then Milous does the same through the evening (I need sleep apparently he does not).

We are trying our very best to give you the best information at hand but as you have clearly seen the target has shifted a few times. When I said I was on the ledge earlier, the start of the release could literally be seconds away or days, but that is the best info I have.

I do know the guys on the Ground are completely aware of everything that is happening but to quote Marlon, none of them would want the Friday afternoon security escort off the property. So that is where they are at.

I guarantee you this, we won't wait for a standard update cycle to post "something" is happening.

Thanks to all the Patient CRD folks!

Cool Re: 2014 diesel production

The waiting through this whole process has been very painful, I like many of you have been waiting to receive my new vehicle since I understood that the diesel would again become available. I have watched and read everything that I can find relative to production finally after so many delays and then build , my unit too has been built for a month.
My first experience with a Jeep diesel was with a 2008 GC , it was a true delight , the performance truly amazing. I parted with it early this year in anticipation of the soon to be released 2014.

Thanks to all of you for your avid pursuit of knowledge in regard to the new diesel units, I have appreciated all of the antics obsessing and sometimes downright crazy discussions as we pass the time and wait.
I have not posted very often but I check the site a few times a day in anticipation of the release.

I really am hoping that we will be able to receive these vehicles in the near future, and I am also sure that it will have been worth the wait.

A few weeks ago one of you posted the Blues Brothers clip, that was funny and it made me laugh , I have enjoyed this but I really do want to end the waiting and start driving my new Jeep. Lets hope we are able to do so in the next few weeks.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Imax, welcome to the craziness! I certainly hope we all receive our CRD's soon. I get anxious when I check on here every morning to see if they have shipped or not.
I am getting nervous, snow might be flying soon and I'm not taking any of my current vehicles out in it!! I need my winter vehicle!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Most of us ordered over 2 months ago. I had a week long vacation planned in September, and another week of vacation that starts today. I did not make any family vacation plans for the vacation last month, since mine was built, I thought I would be able to fly to Texas to get my Jeep. When that came and went, I thought "no problem" I can go in October, and at the time, thought there is no way this thing will be delayed that long. Well, now we are on to my second vacation, and here we sit. It really kinda sucks that I gave up going on trips in hopes of getting my unicorn. Alas, Sergio lets me down again. Love the Jeeps, think the guys working at JNAP are awesome, but HATE the customer service and delays from corporate. Jeep is lucky they make such a great product, or I would be shopping elsewhere. So here I am, my first day of vacation, and I will be stuck obsessing over my unicorn that should have been in my garage by now.

Re: 2014 diesel production

You are all going to love this. I was going to contact Jeep customer service (just to bug them again), and I went to the Jeep website for the phone number. I click on the contact link, and here is what I get (scaled down the picture to enlarge the words)

Then I click the link below that for contacts, and it brings me back to the same page.

Obviously customer support is getting reamed by customers wanting their Jeeps. Rather than telling the truth as to why the delay, they just shut down.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I would imagine they're taking the biggest beating over the 20k Cherokees which have yet to ship.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Yeah I was really hoping my Jeep would hit the lot before the end of the month and I would have some bargaining power on my trade but if it doesn't ship by tomorrow I don't see that heappening. Though I am with a few others here, if they don't ship this month I may be canceling my order and either look elsewhere or just waiting a couple month and reorder again if they're offering discounts to move them. I thought there was light at the end of this tunnel when we could order, and then when they stated production and even when mine was built, but the longer we go the more it appears that is the reflection of the on coming train...and no, it's not hauling our new CRD's, they're still sitting in a lot collecting bird crap.
