When I predicted this thread would take a hard left turn, I didn't realize it would be quite so literal.

Dome - I do plan on some off roading but not as heavy duty as your pictures! Would like to go on some front range trails and around Ouray and Moab. Maybe I'll see you around there! Looks more like Halloween to Veteran's Day now for delivery. If before Halloween, that would be a treat! Otherwise, it'll be a trick.
A fantastic reason to stick around.

The green definitely looks after market - even the lettering on the drivers door is painted.

I'd love to know where he got the winch installed though!

Me too. I want to know more about that winch. Not looking like it will be compatible with our tall license plates though (my state requires them).

Looks like it could be Rocky Road, although they say their kit is not 2014 approved yet. It replaces the internal bumper structure with a new one that has a place to mount the winch. I believe you have a choice of which winch to use with it. Certainly some of what rocky road sells is not going to be the same for the '14 but the internal part may be the same. I already have the Rocky road Super Sliders installed.

I hope to be able to further customize...

Scott closed the thread. Lets hope the complaining doesn't find his way to this thread. Us Diesel heads need to stick together.

You know, honestly, I can't even be mad at the guy.. He spent good money and he's pissed! Where else can you vent if not here? I don't agree with the way he went about it, especially with the excessive redundant posts, but I'm pretty sure I don't always handle my frustrations (here) the right way either. Which doesn't justify his posts, but I do understand the anger.

Scott handled it well. A lot better than I would have, but I'm too emotionally drained right now after watching the Tigers hand the stupid Red Sox the pennant, to even be offended. So hey, it is what it is. I hope the situation works out to his satisfaction, but he isn't doing himself any favors handling it like he is.

Edit: And to be really honest, he isn't even of the most offense ppl I've seen post on this site.. Dude has pics to back up his claims! Lol.. Some of these other clowns knock the cars we build simply bc it's "us" building em, and where the plant is.. But what they fail to realize is that there was no Grand Cherokee before JNAP began building em. And you don't get to build 5 million cars if you don't know what you're doing.. Yes, there will be screw ups. But the awards come bc of hard working ppl who give a damn. Not "potheads" and dope fiends.. So I just ignore em.

Route 66 is a splendid one to behold
Chevyboy_711 I'm excited about getting a Detroit car, especially after seeing it in Detroit in January. My friends and I came out for the auto show for fun, me for the Jeep.

So I just eat the meat and spit out the bones.. Although some of the stuff on YouTube makes it very hard these days!

Well stated. I've had a bad apple...a 1984 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. In the shop 17 times in a year. Later I had a 1991 Taurus SHO that was awesome. It can happen to any auto maker. It's a chance we as a consumer take with most any product purchase.
