Hmmm.... someone almost nailed it? Let's see, what were the guesses so far? Without going back through the posts, these are the ones I remember:
- window stickers
-> specifically stated by Chevy not to be the issue
-> stated earlier by Milous there's no EPA holdup
- crash test ratings
-> not directly, since that doesn't fit with the "obvious" description nor with the "something not seen" during the plant tour
- federal safety sticker (note - crash test might or might not be related to this - there's a lot that goes into the federal safety standards)
-> possible. Fits all the data presented so far.
-> Technically fits all the data, except possibly the "obvious" description. Also seems somewhat unlikely, but possible.
- "storage related" (something about how/where they're stored and/or moved from storage to shipment)
-> Somewhat vague. Probably not because this would generally be classified as "logistics" which was ruled out. But a remote possibility I guess.
- headlight issue
-> Probably not since it would likely also affect non-CRDs
- sound proofing
-> Probably not since that doesn't really fit the "obvious" description nor something that would likely be seen
- parts shortage
-> doubtful (IMO)
- Jeep is holding them up until they're "really sure"
-> This had been guessed earlier, and Chevy said no previous guesses were correct. Plus it doesn't really match the "what you DON'T see tells the story" clue.
- Don't have the ribbons and bows yet
-> basically suggested in jest, but I suppose that since Chevy said they like to do a big parade of vehicles when they release, maybe there's something that they do during the parade? Doubtful they'd hold up the release for something like this though.
That's all the guesses that I can remember. Did I miss any?
