I offered to pick my Jeep up at the storage yard before. I'm will to bribe my own urea too... Heck I'll bring extra for some other unicorns.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Hahaha... man. If this is the reason, there's no way in hell I'm telling my dealer connections.

Those guys will flip the hell out.

They are losing huge sums of cash (both in lost sales, and due to the fact they will now have these things on the lot at the worst possible time of the year) because some pinhead didn't think to order Urea. I can't imagine the dude that was in charge of that bit even has a job anymore...

Re: 2014 diesel production

Seriously... Was this project run by an intern on the systems/engineering/business side? I really hope this isn't "the best of Jeep"...

No kidding. If this is the reason. They could have shipped and let each dealer add a little urea before the sale.

I wonder if they let him keep his stapler when they fired him?

Don't think it's the urea...re-read Chevy's previous post.

Re: 2014 diesel production

If it's the urea, someone needs to be beaten.

If it's the cap for the Urea (because the Jeep is a capless system and someone thought that meant the Urea one too)... again... someone needs to be beaten.

It sounds like, whatever the hold up is, it's something small and stupid and deals with the urea system. Something that probably could have been fixed by a dealer...

Re: 2014 diesel production

I think some pictures had the Urea tank with a little blue colored cap. Could be wrong but I believe it's only the gas that is capless.

His little tid bit about the older builds potentially needing more work isn't exactly comforting to me... Am I going to get a half aced attempt at a diesel just because I jumped on the diesel ordering immediately?
