Re: 2014 diesel production

You left out urea metering valve. Suspect it does not need a medical grade hose.

BTW wonder if the reason it is not available in the Durango is because it has an underslung spare tire.

Well you do bring up one more possibility - that there was a parts shortage of the hose that connects the fill spout to the tank.

That would likely also require new approval if they changed suppliers. That also would make more sense than the tank since they could still technically fill the tanks, even without a hose, which would allow them to (more safely) drive them around the parking lots and such.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Just made me wonder if there is a special pump and/or filter and/or strainer and/or pulsator in the tank.

That DEF is starting to sound like a very expensive add-on.

The only thing I have ever seen go wrong with them is the heater lines (in the north). That doesn't happen so much anymore though. The Jeeps are actually getting it late in the game, they got to completely mess up trying to implement it in the Duramax first then the Cummins. There has been a nice learning curve there.

No no no, no more of that stuff.. At least not on this.

I believe Blinker Fluid and I have the same info.. He may have even had it first. And like Nautiboy said, his posts are a dead giveaway that he's an insider. Which he's confirmed.

However, he wasn't telling Nautiboy he was wrong. It's the reasoning that he attached to his answer that was wrong, that made it wrong. Hence the "close but no cigar" comment.

Neither....let it go. I said what I said in respect to Chevy....not in offense of anyone. I'd rather be civil. Some come here looking for confrontation. I don't. I'm just waiting on my CRD.
