Well the easiest way to deal with posts/posters you don't agree with is to simply add that person to your ignore list. Since you've provided nothing but post counts, I've chosen you rather then the inside man that provides us credible and worthwhile info. Best of luck with your new Jeep if that's why you're here.

For all of you guys calling for peoples heads, these were anticipated circumstances that wandered into unforeseen circumstance territory and things had to be changed in the middle of the process. In other less pious words, shit happened, it got dealt with.
You can't change what has happen, what is going to happen or when it's going to happen. All you can do is like Blinker-Fluid has said; WAIT TILL THE END. It will all run it's course and we will get our babies.

OK, well you seem to be still basically saying that it's the def tank. However in Blinker's first response (which he later edited), he said "it ain't the tank".

Maybe it's all just semantics, and maybe that's why he later edited his post to say "close but no cigar". And maybe he missed my EDIT to my post? I later added:

Quote:
EDIT: or vice-versa, the homologation hasn't been able to approve since the tank wasn't installed.
It seems that we basically have the answer, that there was some type of parts shortage with the urea tank which, one way or another, requires approval from the homologation body.

There might be some slight details that aren't being described (by us) precisely correctly, but it seems we basically have the answer.

Just being playful with that comment. I appreciate all the info, regardless of whom it comes from!

Re: 2014 diesel production

I knew someone would see that prior to the stealth edit

The fact of the matter is I am pretty sure I know the issue and while there is a chance it is the tank (as there may be a piece of data I don't know but Chevy does), I don't lean that way based on what Chevy has explicitly said and what I know.

None of us want to particularly lose our employment as we really love our jobs so we don't come out and say it. If the info got out, it isn't a really big deal but it would be one big thing that could be hung around our necks before the noose is put on.

Personally I try to leave the game to more experienced people (*cough* Milous) and chime in when I think appropriate. It's all good and ill probably share a bit once everything is hunky dory and you guys have your new shiny things.

Bottom line, if it truly is what we think it is, it's dirt simple to correct.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Just a link to more Adblue info (this is VW/AUDI/Porsche specific). I am sure Jeep's system is similar: Audi Q7 TDI DPF filter FAQ and Adblue system FAQ, also for VW Touareg TDI info and why a delete kit or bypass won't work

I don't want heads, just credible information from senior management who is willing to accept responsibility and hold others accountable.

Can't install what you don't have (or should I say didn't have)

Senior management NEVER accepts responsibility but will certainly blame and indict those beneath them in every major corporation I've worked with. Those guys have a nice little club at the top.
