It has been stagnant as of late but Chevy says that is about to pass due to the backlog being flushed out. I would imagine it is back to the typical 8 weeks.(Conservatively)

That is an extremely difficult question. I would have said 6-8 weeks from order to delivery. From what Chevy saying now I think there's going to be an uptick in the build. It is possible that you might see a delivery in 6 weeks or less depending on your region.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I have not been on JG for a while but came here to see if anyone had taken delivery of a CRD and what the feedback was, but apparently they're still not on dealer lots / owners' hands.
The 2014 WK2 is a great vehicle but the fact that the CRD was launched in mid January, reviewed by every car mag a month or two later, advertised on TV, yet still not available more than 10 months later is pathetic.
Wish I could have ordered a CRD, but the X5 has been fantastic and I love how it drives with the diesel. I still do a head snap when I see a 2014 WK2 trying to determine if it's a diesel. When the CRD's finally get in you guys will love them.

Since they only seem to send trains out this way about once a week, I think that means I'm a week away from release. Unless of course I manage to release in time to catch the same train you're on.
Gonna swing by Axle for you when I get off and see what I can find out.

But regardless, whenever yours goes KZ, which is sure to be in the next couple updates, that still doesn't guarantee it 'missed the boat.' (Or train.) Bc there's always transfers and regrouping along the way. And even before that, the initial KZ in lamens terms just means, "Ok, we're done with it.. We're washing our hands to it and turning it over to you guys." Meaning whoever is shipping it. But it's them who plans out how best to move cars efficiently.. Which is why other ppl who've ordered are always harassing Milous and Will with "hey, why isn't my car moving anymore!???" once it's left. That's bc somewhere the rail folks, and car haulers even, restructure their loads and wait on other cars going the same way. It's the same for me in long haul trucking.

So you could very well wind up linked to the same train at some point. Unless the KZ is delayed a week or so. But it won't be.

Thanks so much Chevy, you're the best! Wish I could do something for ya.

If you do happen to see my baby, reassure her that we should soon be united and it will be a long, happy life for both of us.

I keep my vehicles a loooooong time. During my entire 26 years as a licensed driver, I've only owned two cars and I still own both of them (though sadly one of them is not too long for this world, but at least it will head off to the big axle yard in the sky having been a single-owner vehicle).

I expect my SFU to also be a single-owner vehicle. Unless something unexpected comes up, I plan to keep it until it's no longer feasible to keep it on the road.

As a side-note, in case people are wondering about the seemingly-conflicting statements that I only have a motorcycle for transportation right now, yet I still have 2 cars - one of the cars (the 78 TransAm) has been in the shop for the last 2 months; and the other car (the 95 explorer) is no longer driveable due to extreme rust issues and is now registered "planned non-operation".

Anyway, thanks again to you Chevy, and to Willx and Milous, as well as Marlon and Blinker. You guys have really made this buying experience unique.

On a Summit. Yeah, I agree with the others.. Where's it going (coming)?

If you ordered first thing Monday morning, it'd most likely be on it's way by turkey day.. If you're within a stones throw of here, it could be in your driveway first week of December. So abt 6 weeks. That shows the kinda units they're talking abt pushing folks. LOTS of diesel priority in the forecast!

Case and point: Guys didn't somebody who ordered earlier this month/late last month get KZ'd already?

I'm not the one you're referring to, but I ordered on 9/24, and it went 'KZ' this morning!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Looks like they are getting KZ'd fast! Chiv and Nautiboy, if you guys are forced to riding motorcycles this time of year: I truly hope you get yours right away!
They are probably trying to figure out how to load a 6 ft wide paint monster onto a train car for Shannon.
I know mine will be released soon, I cannot wait!!

Chevy, thanks for helping all of us throughout all of this. We could not have asked for more.

I hope to meet you all one day during a DieselFest or whatever we want to call a meeting of this fun group.
