Woa, that looks really cool. The WK2 has a strong enough tongue weight to make that safe right?

Re: 2014 diesel production

More tales from the carless ...

Quite the interesting adventure trying to bungie a large pumpkin to the back of my bike.

The bigger frustration though was getting a call last night from a friend who was in the area, but had a bit too much to drink and was hoping I could pick her up and she could stay on the couch. Sadly my spare helmet is with someone else right now, so no moto ride. Tried calling a couple taxi companies and got voice mail ??? WTH?

She eventually managed to work something out, but I hate not being able to help friends.

Sigh. And sounds like I'll probably be one of the last of the first-day-orders to KZ.

But I'm still hoping that a late KZ doesn't necessarily mean late shipment. Still hoping to catch the same train as Acilate, but I'm not too confident of that.

Your average touring/sport bike is between 450-600 lbs

What have you guys seen as far as total time in D1 before going to inspection. It's been over two weeks and I'm getting itchy.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Chiv doesn't need to rent anything...

A quick perusal of the internet turns up lots of transportation options too keep his buns warm and toasty this autumn.

1998 Crown Vic

98 crown vic need gone TODAY!!!

A great deal on a Crown Vic....think, it could have cop motor, cop suspension and cop breaks! Best yet, it is being sold by a guy named Al. I bet he is honest.

1999 Jeep Cherokee

Cars for Sale: 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 in Dover, OH 44622: Sport Utility Details - 354317275 - AutoTrader.com

A great deal on a Cherokee. It even has the place to install a hood ornament.

1990 Oldsmobile 98

Cars for Sale: 1990 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency Brougham Sedan in Uniontown, PA 15401: Sedan Details - 349440774 - AutoTrader.com

This car is reliable...I can tell by reading the description because it says so. Not only that, it comes includes with a cassette player. That is just something you can't find anymore. Heck, with Oldsmobile being discontinued you could hang onto this one as I'm sure it will become an instant classic.

1980 Lincoln Mk VI

AutoTrader Classics - 1980 Lincoln Mark VI Sedan Silver 8 Cylinder Manual 2 wheel drive | American Classics | Kent, OH

Two words...
V 8
That's right, this one has a V-8. Also, among the listed option are rear window defroster. You know what comes with a window defroster? A heater! That's right, this is the car for you. Have you ever dreamed of being in the Navy? Fear not, this car can give that true aircraft carrier simulation.

I don't recall the exact max tongue weight, but I'm pretty sure it's in the low- to mid-700's. My bike is about 450lb so well within the limit.

Re: 2014 diesel production

MOTS, with all the hard work from Milous, Will, and help from boots on the ground like Chevy didn't leave much mystery about what was going on.

However, VOTS now shows me as "shipment" as well.

KZ in MOTS, Window sticker download and now VOTS updated... I'm starting to feel like I might be getting a Jeep sometime soon.

I wouldn't give the towing/break-in a second thought.

I'm going to be going to a football game 250 miles away leaving on Nov 14. I tow a roughly 1,000lbs tailgate party trailer to the game and would feel fine about picking up my SFU that morning and hitting the road right from the dealer lot.

My current '06 Pathfinder has a 4.0L V6 rated at 270ish hp / 290ish torque. The WK2 CRD should be WAY more capable. My little enclosed tailgate rig really can't even be felt back there. I also have a 10' heavy duty open trailer with a ramp/gate on the back of it that is in the 1000-1200lbs ballpark. I can't feel that around down, but the gate does catch enough wind on the interstate that it is noticeable at high speed.

I would think that a motorcycle trailer wouldn't be anything that would cause ANY significant strain on the new truck. I say go for it.

Now our 5000lbs boat is another story, I'd probably give it 500 miles before hooking up to that just to let things settle in. It should do it with ease, but I'll be feeling that. Especially with marginal trailer brakes and new breaks on the Jeep.

Try the stuff in the above link and you will love it. I found it from a friend who is a Ferrari collector, apparently it is common with them. It is expensive but does everything that you want armor all to do without the oily greasy junk.

It can be purchased online, however, most boating stores will have it. I know that West Marine carries it as that is where I buy mine.
