Layer up....thermal underwear, then sweatpants, the lose bluejeans. Same up top. Then wear a rain suit to prevent wind penetration. Borrow some good gloves. You can ride all day in the mid-30's like that.

If you have a buddy with a snowmobile suit....borrow it! You'll be unzipping it to cool down.

I know it is currently "late availability", and from searching the forums there was a post from early Sept stating that ordering for it might be pushed back to mid November.

Is there any further update on this? If we can order it and not be delayed by more than 2 weeks over a normal order I think she wants to consider it...

Thanks!
My dealer told me if they could order the parts they would install at the dealership we ordered one without knowing of the late availability

Harley Softail, nice bike. I haven't stored mine yet, but will soon. Let's see, you have a plane, bike, cars... all you need is a train and a boat to cover all forms of transportation!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Anybody know anything about the inspection process at the dealership!?!? My dealer sent me this today when I asked him not to let people drive it...

"Ck'd with Service and when they PDI it (Pre Delivery Inspection) they are required to drive it 10 miles ---- but they know how to handle diesels.....we get them in all the time (more on the truck side)"

Of course you could slow down to reduce the wind chill.... but where's the fun in that??

Not sure if that's correct - I picked mine up this morning - only 3 extra km (less than 2 miles) on it from when delivered to dealer

I find that dubious...

You'd need to swap out the seats, the center console, and, if I'm not mistaken, muck around with the wiring harness (as well as potentially the UConnect).

What they will probably put in, is some aftermarket abomination... and still charge you $2,000.
