Detroit could be a nice place...all you need is a hurricane and monumental flood to run the rats out. Look at New Orleans. Unfortunately the rats dispersed to other cities. We never had panhandlers/beggers in my small town in TN until after Katrina.

BTW, Chevy, do you remember the Chamber Brothers, Detroit's most notorious modern gangsta thugs? I went to school with them in my home town in Arkansas. Small world, huh?

Yes, I do! Mostly stories abt them.. A lil before my time, but yeah, small world indeed. My aunt claims she actually dated one of em back then. And I have a couple uncles and cousins who were closely connected with them, and some of the other "community needs organizers" and "street pharmacists" of that era.. Country boys in the big city is what they used to call those guys..

That was back when almost everybody here had a hand in building cars in Detroit. And good paying jobs! But now, not so much..

But anyway, back on topic; I keep checking in here to see what the next Willx/Milous update will be.. Seems like there were quite a few cars moving out when I came in earlier. Wonder how many of those belong to you all.

And Shannon, I did the whole shipping video thing a while back, and posted the link in one of the earlier threads.. Nobody watched it. Lol.. So I took it down.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Are NAFTA unicorns inherently different from their EU brethren? Specifically related to emissions control systems (EGR/SCR/DPF) requirements. Anyone knows how does Euro5 emissions standard for diesel compare to the US EPA-BIN5 standard. Trying to figure out whether the EU models are very similar and so can act as a proof of the maturity of the design.

Was just reading an article that says the SRT sells for 3X the price in China as it does in the U.S. That is way more than differences in currency exchange rates. What accounts for such a big difference in price? I know the folks in OZ also seem to pay a premium - more than just shipping costs I would imagine. Just curious...
