Yep - Laid down $78,500 Aust dollars for the CRD Overland with ORAII and a towbar.

Who knows how the figures are calc'ed from a manufacturers end, considering that the AUD$ and the US$ whilst no longer at parity like in 2012 are still not far from each other.

Worth it though and not complaining.

For NZ prices - whack another 15k/20k on to that.

CONGRATS to all of you that have gone KZ. We have been following from down-under.

Shannon - I'm looking at you.

I echo that sentiment! Cranked, excited, wired. I'm glad I joined JeepGarage. It has made the experience helluva lot more fun and, again, thanks to all.
And you guys will not be disappointed.
My unicorn is a thing of beauty. Fit and finish top notch. Handling and ride excellent. Transmission shifts smooth and seamless. Diesel runs smooth as silk. Only 40km driven so far but mileage averaging 9.8l/100 and that's all city driving stop'n'go - will be doing a little highway driving later today so will see how we do then. I have the ORA II option and played with the ride height setting....works well.
The uconnect system is working fine, just have to tell the Nav system that it's in Canada ( used voice command to navigate to my office and system kept turning up addresses in Oregon !!) apparently I have to change a setting and calibrate the compass. So far it's not playing all that nice with my iPhone but I expect learning curve has something to do with that. Haven't tested the sunroof yet. Heated seats and steering wheel work just fine, although a bit of burning smell when they were first activated. That faded after a few minutes. Also noticed a bit of burning odour from engine and exhaust but that faded as well.
Went to fill up the tank late last night and had guy next to me warn that I was at the diesel pump.

VM was actually supplying the original Diesel for the Cruze. I have no idea why they did this as they still don't have a Diesel Power Plant for their GM Trucks. The way some of the Pricing is working there are places you are going to be able to buy a RAM with a Diesel for about the same price as the GM Gaser.

So I spoke to one of my GM Dealer friends after reading about that and even he says GM is very much worrying him these days. He drove the RAM recently with the 8 speed and even he said he is in trouble.

I'm guessing a higher % of Ram 1500s will be diesel compared to the GC. I think Dodge will have a real winner. Will be interesting to watch.

Just a side note, I know the UConnect guy here pretty well. None of the Diesels are running the latest version. Go here to learn more
