I stopped by a local pickup topper place that handles Weathertech and Husky and compared the two. The Weathertechs have more of a stiff plastic feel, while the new X-ACT floor liners from Husky are a nice soft flexible rubber which I liked a lot better, and they have a lifetime warranty. They also have little nibs sticking out so they won't move around. So I'm going with the Husky X-ACT for the front and back seats. In the back, I don't like the liners that have a lip on them where they come up against the back seat. Makes it too hard to put stuff in and take out when the back seats are folded down cause stuff always catches on that lip. For that reason I'm going with the Mopar cargo "tray" that is flat with a deep pattern to catch dirt or liquid (http://www.mopar.com/part/82212085?s...=275893&b=jeep). It has the same soft rubber feel as the Husky's. I read on-line where one guy also got the Mopar cargo mat (http://www.mopar.com/part/82212233?s...4341085&b=jeep) and put it under the cargo tray. He said it helps keep the rubber mat from sliding around on the metal runners on the cargo floor, has the vinyl flap you can fold out to cover the bumper and keep it from getting scratched when loading/unloading, and then when the back seat is down he would take the "mat" and use it to cover the back of the seats when they are laid flat. I like that idea and will probably do the same.

Since my new vehicle will hopefully be here in a couple weeks or less, I'm going to get stuff on order today or tomorrow. Hope this is helpful

Very funny. I think Shannon and I will have to see where we can find this delicacy in the Minneapolis area and take our Jeeps (and wives) there to celebrate....

I went with the exact same setup. I have all them mats, now all I need is the Jeep.

Chiv, your sitting on the curb pic reminds me of the time my wife and I were at an art festival in Sarasota. She got tired so we sat down on the curb. She took her hat off and set it next to her upside down. A few moments later a guy walked by and threw a quarter in her hat. That was years ago and I still laugh when I think about it...

I'll drink the wine, but going to have to pass in the inverted pork rectums. (although every time anyone has a real hot dog, they are eating one of these)

I just turned, looked at the dealer, got back in to my Pez Dispensing Hippo, and left.

They estimate 1-1 1/2 weeks to repair, or about the same time for a new one.

I'm not thrilled by this in the slightest and told the dude he was knocking another 2% off the price on the new one, because I'm not buying the one they just dropped off the back of a truck.

So... the game is still on it seems.
Ok, probably wasn't funny last night while you were watching but reading this did make me chuckle a bit. Good thing you were there and saw it though rather then the dealer telling you there was a slight mishap while unloading but your new vehicle should be ready for delivery next week and not telling you the whole story. I think at this point it's a sign from the Jeep gods saying you were meant for a SFU.

This story will be told the next time I meet with a group of dealers. The writing style alone deserves repeating.

I will need to talk about the background on the Pez dispensing hippo but thank you for sharing!

Re: 2014 diesel production

My buying experience has taken a u-turn. The salesman called yesterday to tell me my unit had gone KZ...He wondered, if I would mind doing the paperwork before the end of this month...Seems they have a quota they need to meet. Buying sight unseen and now after the Audi story... on what planet does that make sense. The kicker was that after October 31 we would need to renegotiate the price. I told him that I would come in and talk to his sales manager directly. I also told him I have waited this long and could wait again with a different dealer or another brand! I feel sorry for the salesman caught in the middle.

The husky's I purchased for 83 front (same price back) with free shipping. At husky they were 95 each.
Shipping today ( or you could say they went KZ'd)

You can write in "on acceptance of vehicle condition" and initial each copy of the contract. Then if something happens, you don't accept it. They would be stupid to argue with that.
