Will,

Side note on this. Does this also apply to the UConnect in the Pez Dispensing Hippos?

Happened to me. I found out my left rear quarter had been repainted. It was sold to me as "new"....that's not new. I made them get me a new car. Mine had 5k miles on it when they took it back kicking and screaming. The scumbag dealer manager was going to court for fraud otherwise.

Post 422 of that thread...as of Oct 25th, Chrysler has apparently blessed 13.38.52 for the Pez Dispensing Hippos as well.

Gary, did you put down a deposit and sign a purchase contract when you placed your order? If it were me, I'd ask what they're giving me to make this an Oct sale? And assuming it was worth my time, I would defiantly follow Will's advice and make sure I still had an out should something not be to my liking upon delivery.

Airbag went off and... the nice Audi lady called on the cars emergency thingy to ask if everyone was ok (nice to know all of those bits work).

I just turned, looked at the dealer, got back in to my Pez Dispensing Hippo, and left.

They estimate 1-1 1/2 weeks to repair, or about the same time for a new one.

I'm not thrilled by this in the slightest and told the dude he was knocking another 2% off the price on the new one, because I'm not buying the one they just dropped off the back of a truck.

So... the game is still on it seems.
Really sorry to hear that, that has to be the worse thing one could see happen to their new auto. Yes that is definitely worth 2% off of a new one and not a repaired one. A repaired car is not a new car. Do you think they will call you to see the next one unload?? Not!!!! Good luck.

In addition making the contract contingent on inspection and acceptance, tell them you will make it an Oct sale if they include in a long term service contract at no charge.

Agree with you 100%. I wanted the same color that you've ordered but I have yet to see one; other than pictures and videos. I have to see it in person. I've seen probably fifty different GC's but still not a Deep Auburn in person; truth. I can wait no rush cause I have a 5.7 Hemi that I love and I'm keeping anyway. They really push for those end of the month sells when they stand outside and bum rush any car that pulls into the dealership. Then like you said there is always another dealer.

Re: 2014 diesel production

It just gets better and better, - just downloaded the window sticker for my incoming SFU - skeptical of this actually working at first since it is destined for the GWN - Great White North, and that VOTS does not work for Canadian units, but its all coming together now!

Once again, thanks a million to all the JG admin and contributors that make this such a fantastic source of info - and entertainment, (chiv's vomiting avatar)

Good news on my end. The owner of the lot (Central Valley Automotive) we're purchasing our SFU said we should take delivery of our rig on the 11th of November. Still pretty tempting to become a level 3 member but I think I'll just watch and see when the rest of you west coast fellas get your rides.

Also I have 2 stupid question? Would it be possible to take delivery of the 2014 CRD before the dealership gets stock? Hope that makes sense. Also, when my wife and ordered the rig there wasn't an option for the panoramic sunroof on any model. Anyone run into this problem. I didn't see any mention of this on the forum.
