There has not been much movement today while they cleared up the little issue. I expect more tomorrow but there will be a couple of minor positional updates in the MOTS update tonight.

Sorry, every time I see your avatar on one of your posts I wonder if you are saying to your future CRD-SFU "Wish You Were Here"?

This is typical of manufacturing lubricants (tube bending mandrels, milling machine cutting fluids etc) that are being burned off when the engine is hot. First short trip at freeway speed should cure that. My Factory order Subaru WRX had the same smells at first and it's got 140K and still ticking.

I wonder if I was in the holdup. I haven't moved in several days either. Congrats to everyone that have KZed and are beginning to get their steeds. I just had the dealer order the skid plates and the side steps. Hearing the Audi story is awful. Good luck for all the deliveries.

Another local dealer has the config I'm interested in. Would it be possible to check on the VIN and see where it is at? This is not mine, but could be. 1C4RJFJM0EC333815 If this isn't allowed please let me know.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Does the ZF8HP transmission in our CRDs have a Thermal Management Unit that uses a coolant/oil heat exchanger to keep the transmission oil temp at a constant temperature? I've searched the forum for the answer with no luck. It's part of the research I'm doing to determine whether I want to tow a 7200 lb trailer with the Jeep or continue using my Duramax p/u.

Mine is headed out to the islands, so maybe they're going to ship it through the lakes, down the Erie Canal, through the Panama, and chug straight into Bremerton. If anyone needs me I'll be bobbing along in the Straight of Juan de Fuca with my driving gloves on.
Looking very hard for the same train, although my dealer is in Longview and me just over the river in OR. KZ was great, and now the other wait.

Ha, ha... yes, good catch. When I finally receive my mythical beast, perhaps I'll change my avatar to the DSOTM/SFU image I posted earlier...

I would be shocked if it doesn't. I haven't owned an auto transmission vehicle without a submerged cooler. Also, the towing package includes additional cooling capacity, whatever that means.
