My guess is tomorrow night. Wouldn't want to be heading out on mischief night. I suspect those SFUs feel they're less likely to be noticed on Slutoween.

Probably just some bullcrap spray shit that makes it look shiny and you could get at Walmart for $5.99 a bottle... don't fall for the "fabric protection" or "rustproofing" bullshit either...

Re: 2014 diesel production

Whatever it is, you are guaranteed to get it somewhere else for cheaper if you really want it.

My impression is that the full body dip and paint processes they use now alleviate the need for any kind of dealer add-on undercoatings or paint sealers. I won't spend my money on them. I am going to purchase paint protection film for the front of the car as rock chips will happen, and once the paint is chipped off rust can start (except for Shannon who has 500 coats of paint...).

Total scam don't do it. Take your pretty new GC home, wash, clay bar , wash again, and apply wax. I use JetSeal 109 after the clay bar though and I swear by it. All my wash/detail stuff is from Chemical Guys ( not affiliated just am incredibly impressed with their products).

Right... the paint protection film DOES actually make some sense... you do need to get it professionally installed (IMHO) and probably shouldnt do it at the dealer. Research the pros and cons if you are going to do it.

When you finally get around to taking it off (and again get it removed professionaly IMHO) you will see paint differences between whatever you shielded vs. what you didn't shield as the film does do a good job protecting the paint from weathering and some rock chips.

A cheap film can turn yellow quickly... a good film will last for 5-7 years if done correctly.

Truck / Final Stretch, there is no verification until the following day. The rail status is updated all of the time so we can see where they are at. There is sometimes an art to reading them, so I supposed I can provide further input on this if you like.

It was awesome and I had no idea it was a diesel cause it was so smooth and powerful and quiet. I have had the opportunity to drive the not released Ram 1500 diesel and it was pretty nice just had that lag when you take off but it could have been me because I was being careful because it was just a pre production.

I'd just like to see what others who have received their CRD's really think about them power and smoothness wise. I've driven all of the other GC's with there different engines so I just need to drive a CRD for myself to make that final decision. I've seen all of the youtube vids and all of that but it's nothing like actually sitting your but in one and driving it yourself. Good look with yours if you've received it already. I can't keep up with who has and who hasn't. Just want to know real driving impressions of the CRD.
Just got to take mine for a short run around the block because I had never driven one any sort of distance. The 8 speed is such a beautiful match up, shifts like silk. I will need to put it more through the paces but I probably can't take actual delivery until next Monday.

delivery inspection

Over on the "thinks to check on delivery" forum, Parsec posted a check sheet for the Durango. I've combined his outstanding document with the one I'd been working on using info from this and other forums for my JGC CRD into a single document and attached a PDF version. The original is an Excel spreadsheet that will allow others to expand/condense/modify as desired. If anyone wants a copy of the spreadsheet, just send a PM containing your email address and I will send a copy of the file.

I hope to put mine to use in about 14 days.
