Vorp, I think your best shot is to ping the dealer (they can use DealerConnect to get a pretty specific location). I don't know if Will/Milous can tell you where that rig is in the pipe.

If the Bremerton guy doesn't respond, let me know, I know a couple other folks over there. I do know it was his day off yesterday though.
My apologies for asking this - no way do I want to do anything that is wrong or dodgy and certainly not ask anyone to on my behalf.

My local dealer does have a Summit with the right config, but when I asked where it was at on Monday (took 3 days and 4 phone calls to get the an answer) he said it was in D1 status. This seems weird as the original order date was 8/9/13 (Salesrep emailed me a copy of the POC). From watching this thread I got the impression that all the first day orders were built, and waiting to ship or are currently shipping.

I just confirmed with my lender that my pre-approval runs out Dec14th. For reasons I won't state publicly my wife and I may have difficulty getting approved again - dependent on circumstances (nothing dodgy!). Due to this I need to find the best deal I can on my config that I can finish the purchase by Dec 14th. Happy to travel anywhere in western US to make it happen (a road trip would be fun!)

Not ideal circumstances and the world won't end if I can't get it done. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

+Paper Receipt and good to go.
Do we think that is all for today?....everyone with their SFUs in hand or on the horizon can make someone sad.

I bought a lot of crap for my Subaru today because of this....it will get (more) expensive soon because all of the really pricey stuff is left.

Thanks!
Since you have the VIN number, my only suggestion is to become a level three member and PM Milous with your VIN number to get the latest MOTS tracking. As you have read from this thread, most early production CRDs are currently being staged (or already) for shipping and all delivery dates are just ETA and not firm.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I went KZ Paper Receipt back on 10-28 and can't seem to get my window sticker to load. Anyone that knows how to do it that I can pm (not that i don't trust you guys I just don't want to post my VIN out in the open for all to see). Anyway would really appreciate it if anyone would help me out not sure what I am doing wrong. Hell part of my job is IT so I feel real stupid for doing whatever I am doing wrong.

Click on this address:

http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/window...kerPdf.do?vin=

into your browser. Then place your VIN after the equal sign (no space). If that doesn't work feel free to PM me.

-The Ride is way better than my ML320 was, smoother when it needed to be and firmer at higher speeds (more air suspension than diesel)

-Shift in comparison to my ML320 is also smoother (less noticeable).

You ask why all three comparisons are against a 2009 ML320 Diesel... Because I used to think that was the nicest driving diesel SUV on the road!
Thanks Willx, every little bit of info about the diesels helps. I'm sure in due time others may also post some informed decisions about the CRD. Thanks once again.

Rubberjeep, make sure you use the full VIN, not VON provided by the initial Jeep email. Other than the build sheet provided by Milous for level IV members I don't know where you get the VIN.

I certainly hope jeep has done a better job with is this engine then the one I had in my 2007. All I can say is I made 100% loyal jeep fan and I would never dare try another diesel engine in this product. That being said I have owned at least five grand Cherokees after the 2007 diesel engine version. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone has questions I'd be more than happy to speak to someone. The new jeep VM diesel is a fantastic engine
Here in Australia we have had this engine for some years now with few issues

You can build the VIN yourself by encoding the first 8 digits using the tables at wk2jeeps. Then put "x" at the ninth one, then put the partial VIN you use with VOTS (the stuff that starts with "EC" and 6 numbers). Now goto a VIN checkdigit calculator to calculate the checkdigit. You should now have your full VIN.
