Re: 2014 diesel production

Am I going to be going via truck or train to Toledo before my final trek to Columbus? Does it still look like my Jeep may end up at my dealer sometime Monday?

My new Overland may be "trail rated," but it sure is having difficulty negotiating the Oregon Trail. Way back in 1850, the average covered wagon trek to Oregon from the jumping off place in St. Louis was 125 days. Add seven to ten days to get outfitted and we're talking 4.5 months from start to finish. Granted, Detroit is a little further away than St. Louis.

Well, if my projected delivery date is met (and it's been pushed back a couple of times already) it will be 4 months and 1 day from order to delivery. Some things never change!

If you see my wagon on the trail, can you give it a little push? I'd sure like to get it in the barn before the snow flies.

I am curious about this too, my dealer is 50 miles south of Toledo, would I go truck? I would this that would load and deliver the same day if that is the case.

Good Thing you have 911 at the end of your VIN then.

Looks like it has a rail slot, late tomorrow or early Monday.

Consider yourself lucky, I had 9.5 months from date of order confirmation to date landed at the dealer

but I will look,

So far I don't see a problem... We should keep an eye on that though. Looks like Late Monday is the estimated arrival, so if it is going to stop at Nitro Creek I would hope it leaves in the next 24 hours. Either that or they will throw that out the window and send it direct (this has happened a few times with the Diesels where they seem to skip their distribution yards).

Call it coincidence, but I have a cell phone # ending in 0911 too.

Thank you.

Oops! Can't count this morning. It will be 4 months 1 day since the vehicle was a gleam in my eye, but only 3 months 1 day since order confirmation. Maybe the trail is shorter after all. ;-)

Thanks, Willx, for checking.
