I hope not. I was one of the first off the line, so I might be buried in the back corner of the lot. I'd still like to see it start heading this way.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Man Willx - you were really right about the head-scratching that one does looking at the train updates.

At first it looked like mine was on a straight-on course for chicago, as it passed through Lydick, which is about what I expected because previous transits to the Benicia train yard all took the northerly Union Pacific line. When I saw this morning's update:

Quote:
Interchange Received 11/02/2013 08:21 AM EDT On Railcar - Gibson, IN
I looked that up on the map and it looks like it ended up heading several hundred miles due south. So then I figured, maybe that had to do with Skik heading to Colorado, so we wouldn't be taking the northerly route, but then I remembered Slippery was headed to Lincoln which would've made more sense on the northerly route.

I've been waiting for the next update so that I could figure out which direction it would be headed, but no updates for the last ~6.5hrs so I decided to see if any previous Benicia runs went through Gibson and I did find one.

In that case, the next stop was Chicago (technically Provisio). So basically it went over 200 miles due south, and then turned around and went straight back roughly 200 miles north. Essentially a nearly 500 mile detour.

I'm sure if I saw the whole picture it would make more sense.

Anyhoo ... just biding my time until the next update.

I looked at the same thing this morning but I think what we're finding is Gibson county. Looking at others that went west, they hit Gibson then typically Proviso, which seems to be on line with Lydick. The bad news is when you look at other in Gibson, they appear to be there for a couple days so was thinking we won't see movement again till Monday.

Edit: Actually the Gibson yard is located in Hammond, IN which makes more sense now.

I think my dealer said it took them a little 2 hours to prep mine Friday.

Too bad you had no way of communicating this to us. You would have had several hundred obsessed people calling your cable company to get you up and running

Next time I will call/text someone to post that info. You probably know how it goes, "back on in an hour", then one hour turns into two, and so on.

I explained the importance and urgency of getting me back online, but may have confused her when I brought unicorns into the conversation. She did offer to take a whopping $4.00 off my monthly bill!!! I told her I was in tears, that no one had ever offered me such a generous deal before!

When your feeding a bunch of diesel crack heads with delusions of unicorns, you can expect desperation. I, although suffering MOTS withdrawal, appreciate your dedication. We need to all chip in for a dedicated satellite feed to your home.

OMG, I know now that I am spending too much time here. I had a dream about this forum. Someone's unicorn fell off a rail car and got damaged. Everyone on the forum was asked to collect tailpipe skittles and donate them to magically repair the damaged vehicle. One member named TrailGator (where did that come from? Word play on tail gater?) refused to help so he was banned to the gasser section of the forum until he saw and redeemed the badness of his ways. Then I woke up and thought s#!t, what the hell was that all about? I don't dare tell my wife, she'll reduce my iPad time allowance....
