Re: 2014 diesel production

Will, my Summit has changed status to "Departed Facility 11/03/2013 02:14 PM EST Avi - Vls Java Yard". Does this mean that it is moving to the loading ramp?

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but it has been a really long wait.

Did I miss it? It's 10:30 and still no pictures of Willx's new Grand Cherokee.

What's up with that?

That's great if it's on the up and up and not one of the unicorns playing pranks because they know you are waiting with bated breath. LOL So are you skeptical of the caller or of the arrival to occur when they say. Good Luck

It did with me. Most Java yard residents will be departing to New-Boston yard and from there will be loaded on a railcar within a day or two. The key entry in MOTS you are looking for is "Released from Industry", which AFAIK states that ownership of the goods has been transferred from Chrysler to the shipper - this is when you really are on a moving railcar.

I think I remember him posting something about getting new tires on the way home. LOL Oh and stopping at the detail shop to get the Bright White polished a little brighter. LOL I'm sure he's just out enjoying his Unicorn and giving it a good initial get acquainted rub down and I can't blame him.

I did, politely and decorously, recently explain to someone at Chrysler that riding a motorcycle in freezing weather is less than pleasant and how much I was looking forward to owning the awesomeness that is the 2014 diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee. I think that was the genesis of the actual phone call. I'm just not confident the promised delivery of "end of week" is possible unless they are going to some really extraordinary measures just for my SFU.

Re: 2014 diesel production

The Night Before Delivery:

Time sensitive so I had to post before the mass deliveries start. Apologies to Clement Moore and for not entirely finishing it.

Twas the night before delivery and all through Jeep Garage, a Jeepís House
Not a curser was stirring, not even the one guided by my old wireless mouse

The KZs were posted on MOTS tracking with care
In hopes that the train cars soon would be there

The level 3, 4, and lifetime members were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of Skittle Farting Unicorns danced in their heads

And Chivvalry in his riding pants and Milous in his SRT cap
Had just settled down for a pre winter delivery nap.

There was noise out in Java yard, was Shannonís truck being painted fatter?
I sprang to log in again to check if instead it was diesel clatter

Quickly into Windows 7 I booted from a flash
Tore through the old postings searching for the new batch

There was the Chevy trip with pictures from V-Tails plane to the trucks down below
Showing the luster of fresh paint jobs and window stickers still needed to bestow

When what to my wandering eyes should appear
But a DEF tankles Grand Cherokee towed by eight Unicorns drinking beer.

With a white Summit, so lively not bilious,
I knew in a moment it must be Willx and Milous.
More rapid than eagles the Unicorns they came,
And they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dome! now, AF Officer! now, Brainstormer and JDixon04!
On, iAteYourCat! On, PnkFld! on, on JpMdr and Excursion!
To the top of the list! Just to crawl to a Mall?
Now Dodge Dart away! Dodge Dart away! Dodge Dart away all!"

As jeeps do on the Rubicon trail, they fly,
When they meet with a steep obstacle, they use diesel torque to get by.
So up to the house-top the Unicorns they flew,
The sleigh full of CRDs, with UConnect too.

Then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little 18 and 20 inch hoof.
As I drew in my rear view mirrors, and was turning around,
Down the chimney my CRD came with a bound.

And I read their posts as they typed out of sight
Happy on and off roading to all and to all a good night.
