They have it down from 2000 coats to just a few. Had a hard time getting mine out the door - had to enlarge them.

Shannon, I welcome the company. Mine has been unloaded at rail yard since Friday. The dealership is in a congested traffic area, the transporters deliver only early morning or late nights. I told Mark last Friday that Saturday delivery was "not necessary", but then it was such a beautiful weekend, I regretted not pushing it as it was a good weekend to take delivery. Most all dealerships are closed on Sunday; state law prohibits them being open both Sat and Sun.

Our units could very well be delivered at the same time. My week is getting very busy; I may not be able to take delivery until Friday, which isn't all bad - it's supposed rain through Wednesday. I wish PnkFld's could have been here as well.

Months to days, soon to be hours...

Yeah, that was a bummer you missed the train. I thought for sure you'd be on it with us.

Benicia on Wednesday/Thursday? Want me to head up there and snap some shots of the unloading?
Well, I just finished my tabulations. The Benicia destinations that have a Grand Island update took: 2d16 3d7 2d5 2d12 2d9 2d14 2d10 (where XdY means X days and Y hours). So roughly speaking typically about 2 days 12 hours until they hit Benicia.

Since ours left Grand Island 11/04 4:55 AM EST, that puts them arriving in Benicia around wednesday at 2pm PST. The real "trigger" is the Roseville, CA update when/if that happens because that's a very consistent 2-2.5hrs from arriving in Benicia. Depending on how I feel (health is a bit of a concern for me) and how things are going at work, I was considering riding up to Benicia and taking some photos as it pulls in. Though that's a tight window and would depend heavily on whether Willx was available to do frequent checks around that time because Benicia is over an hour from me, which doesn't leave a lot of room to get there in time. If I can't make it, and you feel adventurous, please be my guest!

I'd also love to see it actually get unloaded, but the time on that seems harder to predict. From arrival until they're unloaded took: 0d20 0d21 1d3 0d20 0d11 1d9 1d14 1d15. So anywhere from 11 hours to 39 hours. That's almost as big as a Comcast service window. So it would probably be hard to know exactly when to be there for the unloading.

But again, if you want to try - I sure wouldn't complain!

So keep an eye and feel free to ask anything you guys like. I will work to get back to you as soon as I can.
Thank you Will, but now I'm a little confused. Did you mean that they might transport in all the way to my dealer in Scranton, Pa.? Or that they might be driving it directly to the rail head? Sorry, but the logistics up there are kinda hard to understand, or should I wait for Mlious' update tomorrow.

I'll refer back to that post about getting people to buy in to the process and program. Those cameras aren't unique to BMW.

Send me the problem children and I'll poke.

Holy poop, I thought you were in the Pittsburgh area. I was born in the township you live in, right near UPMC Hospital, formerly Franklin Hospital, near Cranberry Mall. Still have relatives out there. No wonder you are complaining. It gets cold up there and early. One good thing, they are good at show removal. However, that won't do you too much good on a bike. For all I know you have have had show up there already, lake effect snow.

LOL, it was 25 degrees when I woke up this morning but warmed up a little before the ride in an hour later. We had some snow fall already but it didn't stick at all.
