I'm headed for Koons at Tysons Corner also. It looks like mine was just loaded onto a railcar at New Boston waiting for a train. Where on the Koons jeep website did you find the shipping info?

I just went to the website and searched the inventory for deisels. Didn't really like seeing all of our orders there and if you click on them there's an option to make an offer...

I had the same issue at a couple of different dealer websites. They listed the SFU I wanted and showed as in transit, so I called and found that they really aren't for sale as they are customer orders. Oh well...

Well, I just finished my tabulations. The Benicia destinations that have a Grand Island update took: 2d16 3d7 2d5 2d12 2d9 2d14 2d10 (where XdY means X days and Y hours). So roughly speaking typically about 2 days 12 hours until they hit Benicia.

Since ours left Grand Island 11/04 4:55 AM EST, that puts them arriving in Benicia around wednesday at 2pm PST. The real "trigger" is the Roseville, CA update when/if that happens because that's a very consistent 2-2.5hrs from arriving in Benicia. Depending on how I feel (health is a bit of a concern for me) and how things are going at work, I was considering riding up to Benicia and taking some photos as it pulls in. Though that's a tight window and would depend heavily on whether Willx was available to do frequent checks around that time because Benicia is over an hour from me, which doesn't leave a lot of room to get there in time. If I can't make it, and you feel adventurous, please be my guest!

I'd also love to see it actually get unloaded, but the time on that seems harder to predict. From arrival until they're unloaded took: 0d20 0d21 1d3 0d20 0d11 1d9 1d14 1d15. So anywhere from 11 hours to 39 hours. That's almost as big as a Comcast service window. So it would probably be hard to know exactly when to be there for the unloading.

But again, if you want to try - I sure wouldn't complain!
While my Wednesday schedule is open, Benicia is a two hour drive from the office, and I'm just not willing to spend the time and money for that effort. On top of that, I've got a floating PTO day for the next week so I can spend the day picking up my GC. I'd rather not ask my boss for two favors in a row

If you do get pictures, I'd love to see them. Here's to hoping the Wednesday arrival date makes the 11/12 date creep in a few days.

But perhaps we should come up with a more manly design with some diesel flavor to it...

I hate hearing people say (or write) that. Every day you need to convince your boss that you are doing them a favor just by showing up. Then when you need to do something, as a courtesy, let them know you are leaving to pick up your new car.

Jealous, no... disappointed, understandable... we all would be.

I meant what I said because, without all of you early guys' excitement and clamoring about the CRD, especially in August, I would not have recognized that the EcoDiesel was the perfect Jeep. I had already ordered a V6 gasser, it was due to deliver in mere days when I decided to change my order.

When I wrote emails to Jeep corporate, I did so on behalf of all CRD buyers. I had no expectation to be singled out. Honestly, I felt guilty to have received a push when many of you early guys were still waiting. I hope we all receive solid units and we have great things to say about our perfect Jeeps.

It's typically about 4 days to the Westfield yard once you get notice of "Release from Industry" I'll keep watching yours as it makes it way home to Texas. As fellow Houstonians (metro at least), I look forward to an opportunity to meet for coffee or lunch and compare notes about our Jeep experiences. I'll send you a PM...

Well, my boss is quite flexible. He didn't blink twice at giving me a day off next week, un-recorded. I repay this flexibility with avoiding the abuse of it. Taking the day off to go look at a train yard which contains my Jeep SOMEWHERE is borderline abusing the privileges of taking off what time I need when I need it. I'd rather save that favor for a day when I really need it. Like when my GC needs a wash and wax

And if you treat it like a Jeep, it will need that wash/wax quite often.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Day 9 since papered and still stuck at the plant.

Congrats to all you folks who escaped the JNAP tractor beam, but misery loves company and this thread is starting to get a bit lonely, sigh...

Yep Shannon this coincides with what the man just told me about an hour ago.
