Ok this did make me chuckle a bit...the good news is I moved down the line one spot, hopefully the engineer doesn't have another mistress in this town. Maybe you won't have to go though Blue Island and will still catch up.

And definitely looks like Skik has a leg up on you. As predicted, he did depart from us in Cheyenne and appears to have quickly caught another train and I think is now at his final train destination. So it now depends on how fast they unload it from the train and get it on a truck.

As for the remaining 3 - looks like we got held up in Cheyenne for a while, but Acilate and I are on the move again. Tem either missed an update or is still in Cheyenne, so he might've left the party a little early and is waiting in Cheyenne for the train up north.
Yeah I just seen that update too. Good luck with the rest of your journey and hopefully you don't get stuck in a yard for 2 days, it really sucks

Well, we'll certainly get stuck in a yard for at least 2 days, since Benicia (destination yard) seems to take anywhere from 2-4 days from the time it hits the railyard until it gets loaded on a truck for delivery. But hopefully that's the only yard we sit in for that long. Fingers, toes and anything else I can cross are crossed!

Mine was offloaded from the train on Sunday afternoon...and there it sits until a car hauler sees fit to move it. I have a scheduled delivery of Thursday 11/7. My guess is that it will arrive mid day on Wed and they allow 8 hours for PDI.

I changed my request from "leave the plastic on" to "normal PDI but spray wash only". I'll hand wash, clay bar, wash and wax it myself. I am thinking my inspection would be hindered if it had plastic on the seats, etc.

My deal was based off the Costco Auto program, and the group buys all required the affiliate program. A good deal would be 1% below invoice (there is a buying thread 2014 Grand Cherokee - Ordering Information and Pricing that can help you figure out invoice). Good luck and remember that a good deal is what is good for you!

DC Metro group buy does not require participation in any affiliate program. Not sure if other GBs require/expect it but it would be the first I've heard it.

It looks like I have taken your place...Seems a little like musical chairs...Keep rolling! I may be on the Cherokee Express... but then again, I may be at a two day rest stop.

Interesting to note. The PacNW group buy out of Bremerton, WA does require the affiliate control code. Good to know!
