Would be awesome. Is it not just injecting diesel at the wrong point in the cycle to cause back pressure?

Edit: Nope, it opens the exhaust valves after the compression stroke... hum

If I had a dollar for every time I've physically went to look for cars that were allegedly somewhere they weren't, I still wouldn't be able to afford one of these things, but I'd have enough for all the Jack and Halo ejuice I could stand!

Can't say much here about why they WERE, but I can tell you they no longer are being held.. They should be seeing an update soon.

Looks like it shipped about an hour after the cutoff. There was a chance VOTS would have beat MOTS

What he said. Why they are still there I don't know definitively and don't want to speculate as I probably will be wrong.

To be brutally honest, the plant/corporate doesn't just hold things because they just want to be mean SOBs ("HAHA! WE HAVE YOUR SFU AND YOU DON'T! NYAHHH! SUCK IT CUSTOMERS!"). They want them out the door and on to the rails so they can build more and not have to worry about the 30k-70k ding, dust, and bird **** magnets they are responsbile for. As you know, Murphy works overtime, especially at auto plants.

Corporate doesn't want them at the plants either because sitting at a plant means it isn't counted as revenue and is counted as an asset for tax purposes. Pretty much the entire process is geared to getting your vehicle out the door as soon as it is ready and can legally be sold.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Having seen reports that some of the rare and elusive Unicornus Flatulatus Skittlii were migrating west, and still holding on the thought that these were truly mythical beasts and I would never see one in my lifetime (despite recent apparently confirmed reports), this morning I found myself about 10 miles away from the herding area in Benicia where they were reported sited...and had to at least drive by to see if I could bag a sighting myself. Sadly I did not have my telephoto lens with me and had to use my cell phone camera. As I approached I could see a very large herd, lots of horses but couldn't pick out any Unicorns while driving at 60mph on the freeway..

Moving on in closer, it was clear that the larger herd was well protected, and despite my staying downwind and being as stealthy as possible, the Uni's remained out of my sight.
Until I see one with my own eyes, preferably the subspecies Overlandus, trail rated, with a beautiful Black Forest Green coat, I will remain skeptical.

Acilate and Nautiboy...they are probably in here somewhere!

Awesome, thanks for checking! They'll probably be unloaded late this evening. They're still showing 11/12 delivery though. Hoping the yard has trouble controlling the unbridled enthusiasm and skittley goodness, thus forcing an early release.

Don't hate on those of us who ordered later (relatively speaking).
Many of us have been following this forum and the progress from way back. Watching and listening to everyone who had ordered day one of availablity getting stuck in a non moving twilight zone. It didn't make much sense to me to pull the trigger and order until I saw that your orders were starting to move. I remember Chevy saying that once they started moving your vehicles things would crank up and move much faster. It definitely seems that is the case now.

I do understand that none of this matters for those that have been built at the beginning and are still sitting around somewhere. Hopefully they get sent to their new homes asap!

They just couldn't keep 'em boxed in! Unloaded ahead of schedule!

I found the setup similar to my ML320 Bluetec. The ZF has much more refined shifts than a 7 tronic though!

BTW, on your R series, was one of those oil leaks the rear main?? They had to drop my tranny out 3 times to get it right. It was there for over a week!!!
The 7tronic provides an awful lot of stopping power as coupled with whatever program on this ECM that allows for engine braking. The manual shift buttons work well, but react very slowly. I was just hoping that this function was at least as good or better on the GC.

As for the oil leaks, I am pretty sure it was the rear main. I didn't ask too many questions at the time. The R was in on 3 different occasions for leaks, failed seals or whatever. MB service in Canada is very convenient (they pick you up and drive you back to work) and downright luxurious, (free lattes and big screens) but very sparing with any useful technical information, and they have no qualms replacing a screw with a new one if all it needed was tightening...(extrapolate to much larger assemblies in the same vain)

More to Blinker's point, if any of your dealers were willing to show it to you, the Factory Invoice shows when they started financing the vehicle internally....

It is a ticking clock, they DO NOT keep anything longer than they need to, and why some of the later releases have been rushed to the front of the line to get the heck out of there.

I have that info at home, I will look it up for you. The dealer gave me the sheet that showed what position my GC was loaded on the trailer and what vehicles it traveled with. The name of the carrier was on there.
