Re: 2014 diesel production

Piece of advice for those that have been unloaded from the rail car and waiting to get picked up by a semi: talk to others who have been unloaded at the same location and that were picked up by a semi, taken delivery. Chances are, it's the same carrier. You can then contact them to find out what's going on if they are in fact responsible for shipping your vehicle to the dealer.

I have been unloaded from the rail car since 11/02 and had an expected delivery date of 11/05. I was able to figure out who the carrier is that was/is supposed to deliver my vehicle by info provided by Matt'sGC, call the carrier, and get on their case. Stoots did the same with the same carrier. My vehicle has now been dispatched and is supposed to arrive at the dealer tomorrow.

I realize this may cause more worry for those of you in this scenario, but be proactive.

He was kind enough to let me know this, so I was able to e-mail the dealer, and let him know my expectations. All the problems that Brainstormer had should already be fixed on mine. I hope to be in and out within an hour, as we are leaving Houston and driving to New Orleans for our first leg of the journey home. Want to get an early start so we can enjoy a night in New Orleans.
Will do. I also explicitly called out all the various issues that have been noted on here to my sales guy. Others have picked up from the same dealer and been in really good shape so I am hopeful it will go well. I also wish to be in and out within an hour or so...

They have all day today and tomorrow morning to get it right.

I wonder if your phone call really made a difference. After sitting for a week it was probably getting close to the front of the line. If they did ship your car ahead of its turn, then they screwed somebody else. That is not the way things usually work.

It wasn't like that at all. To me, it was perceived as a "Oh crap, we forgot about you. Sorry." This is further confirmed by their horrible Google reviews.

I didn't realize things were that bad. I figured it was just a shortage of trucks or drivers.

Looking forward to pictures of your new Jeep!

Awesome. Yeah, pics would have been great but no biggie. I'm gonna be playing shutterbug tomorrow.

Picture this: "Let's go! Work it, work it..." *click* "c'mon, you're a beast! Gimme the growl!" *click* *click* "That's it! Now show me rock mode..." *click*

Actually, I will be so excited I will probably forget to take pictures myself.

Anyone know who the carrier is that picks up at Jessup md and delivers to Koons in va? I'd love to give them a call.
