Re: 2014 diesel production

Well I wrote customer service this AM and here is part of their response:
"At this time,
Network Management is working on expediting the shipment of your vehicle
to your dealership and the estimated time of arrival indicated within
our resources is 11/14/2013. Please keep in mind that this provided
timing is an estimate only and not a promise or a guarantee".

I think we have heard this before...Only time will tell...Still waiting as are many others! I still have hope that it will be this week!

Ordered 8-13-2013

Re: 2014 diesel production

You aren't the only one. We ordered ours in the middle of September and production started on Oct 1st. It's still in final inspection. Three local dealers have diesels on their web sites listed as in transit so I hope mine gets on a train soon.

Am I the only one?

Don't think there is any hope for the expected 11/18 delivery.

Some initial impressions after the first 300 miles..
  • Fit and finish are excellent, none of the alignment issues
  • NO EcoDiesel badge, nothing to identify as a diesel
  • Driven 360 miles and still have half a tank left
  • Great acceleration, much better that the v6
  • Nav is a great improvement along with the VR system
  • Michelin Latitude tour tires are NOT on/off road
  • After driving at highway speed and then in traffic a smell of what is best described as cat urine
Overall it is a much better vehicle that the 2011 v6 I traded, and I thoroughly enjoyed that car.

Central Massachusetts, Harr Chrysler Jeep.

Looks like I ordered the same package as you. Glad you like it.. mine should be here 11/20. I had the Michelin latitudes on my Envoy and they lasted almost 80K miles so if you don't like them you might want to change them now. Some of the best tires I ever had for normal driving.

I'll be selling mine (hopefully), I expect my new tires tomorrow!

Went with 265/65/18 Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure w Kevlar. Hope they fit well with the bump in size!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Hey guys sorry for the stupid question just picked up my unicorn today is there a setting on the instrument cluster where you can read the DEF Fuel Level. I only drove for like an hour today and didn't fully play around, but did try to find that and couldn't. I didn't have a chance to change the meters that are shown standard wondering if it has something to do with that.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Wow...I was sitting here looking at MOTS a little upset that I was going to be in the yard another day when the dealer called and said it's sitting on the lot right now. They're going to do PDI tonight and I should be able to pick it up tomorrow. Not sure if I'm happy or still unsure that it's really there.

I think, but not positive since I don't have mine yet, that it is one of the "selectable gauges" on the center instrument cluster.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Well, according to the latest MOTS release my SFU is within 180 miles of the final rail yard ( I think).
If it does not get held up, it could be at the dealer by tomorrow night, but......, reading about all the luck that some guys have don't have, getting it the last few miles maybe painful and very time consuming.
I sure would not mind a Saturday or Sunday delivery; have several business trips planned for next week, 300-500 miles, and a 2400 mile vacation trip over thanksgiving.

Hurry up and Wait....:slap fight:

On the EVIC find "system information" with the up/down keys and then use the left right keys until the DEF level shows.

That is a great question that keeps getting asked. mazster43 was the first one to answer. In short, using the up/down arrows on the left side of the steering wheel, scroll until you get to vehicle information on the EVIC. Once there, using the left/right arrows, scroll until you see the DEF Level. It will show a percent as well as a curved bar level.

My dealer topped mine off to 100% at delivery based on the comments in this thread, no questions asked. If yours doesn't, the minimum they should add is an additional 2.5 gallons which Chrysler will reimburse them for according to willx.

Hope this helps.
