Does anyone have the contact info for the rail/truck yard in Mesquite, TX? My SFU has been waiting there for a week and today is the estimated delivery. I am selling my current car to a buyer so the timing is important.

Thanks!

Still at the dealer. They went through the PDI, I went on the test drive with them. The detailing guy is cleaning it up as I type. A couple minor things, but all in all it looks real nice. One thing though is that I notice orange peel on the paint job. It isn't a perfectly smooth finish. I can see little tiny ripples (aka orange peel) over the entire surface, and especially notice it under the fluorescent lights at the dealership. You have to look close to see it. Perhaps this is normal, I don't know. Perhaps a good detailing with clay bar will help, but I don't think so. What are others seeing? Still it looks fabulous.

She is on the ground! Looks amazing even dirty from transport. Wife says the GC is beautiful...all badges are staying on! Should take possession late this afternoon! More to follow later!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Holy expletive deleted! I just got a call that my SFU is in and ready to go. I am truly stunned. It must have come by truck instead of rail.

There was a good chance today would be the day, but MOTS has not updated yet. I wonder if I made the truck...

Willx, Milous? Any chance you could check?

Wow dude. Awesome. May need to pinch yourself.

You must have lit a fire to get it trucked in pronto!

Fluorescent lighting is notoriously unforgiving to paint jobs. Once you get it out from under those nasty things I suspect she'll look beautiful! Enjoy, while I live vicariously through you...

Yes, I did notice the orange peel effect on mine as well, more so under the fluorescent lighting but if look closely under sunlight it is noticeable. Also the alignment in the center stack isn't perfect on mine but wasn't about to have the dealer rip it apart to make it worse.

Sitting at Moe's southwest grill across from the dealer having a taco. They are taking a care of the things I found on my walk-around - small scratch on the hood they are buffing out, battery cover under the passenger seat that doesn't want to go all the way down, and the little rubber piece at the lower corner of the front windshield that appears to be fastened with double-stick tape or something to the body panel was coming loose. They're also going to see what they can do with the left tail light. It's not far off, but the right side is nearly perfect. We looked at a bunch of GCs in the lot, and all were pretty much the same. They are also filling the DEF and fuel tanks.

Should be driving home in an hour or so. What a ride this has been. I'll post a couple pics on the owner's thread.

I am beginning to think the fix for the gap at the top of the driver's side tail light is to bring it home and apply clear caulk.

It really doesn't bother me that much, and I am an obsessive compulsive. If I hadn't know to look for it I probably wouldn't have noticed it. It certainly isn't something that would cause me to not take the car. All in all it looks fabulous, especially the interior.

Re: 2014 diesel production

(Sorry Shannon.) I received the $500 coupon in the mail today. The timing is ideal since my vehicle is scheduled to be delivered in a couple weeks. New tires just became more probable.
