Thanks, I have no doubt I will! This will be more focused on part-time DD, road trips/vacations/weekend cruiser, and milder SW USA expedition-type wheeling.

Hahahahaha, I can handle that: "Lead, follow, or get the h*ll out of the way". [Stenciled over the door of our barracks, Armor School, Ft. Knox, KY]. Yes, looking forward to a long experience with this unicorn!

Have been following your thread - seems we have a lot in common in how we think this Summit (and, ZJs, too ) should have come from the factory.

Not to mention, I almost went for a '90 Waggy when I decided to buy the ZJ new.

My SFU is in! Couldn't get it picked up last night but I did get by the dealer to look and take it for a spin. Had 14 miles on it when I got there. Wife and I will be picking it up today!

All I can say is congrats and enjoy! I certainly am and now find myself looking for excuses to drive somewhere. I've got the seat and power steering column memory set so when I shut off the engine the seat automatically slides back and the steering column moves up out of the way. The reverse happens when I start the engine. I think its really cool, my wife just rolls her eyes....

My vehicle rides the trains to Houston. Then I have a 1,000 mile drive home.

Cool to finally break out of D1. How about you?

Hopefully you don't get the special Shannon paint treatment...

Yours should be completed by tonight. Hopefully will release in the next few days. Will take a 7-10 days to Hit Houston. Should be a nice early Christmas present

You laugh at it now, but wait till you see the paint job - beautiful!!! - So what if my Jeep is a few inches taller and wider than the rest of yours. Just hope it is fully dry before I start buffing the finish

Picked up my SFU yesterday. Heater cord was right there on the passenger side of the engine bay. Also was offered a Lifetime bumper to bumper warranty for $4300. Knocked them down to $3k and pulled the trigger. Didn't think it was that bad a deal especially since some have been saying they couldn't even get one. Hopefully I didn't get hosed.

Same conversation currently in the "owners" thread. As I posted there, mine was ordered with the block heater option but the cord isn't installed. The dealer is trying to rectify the situation. This should answer the question on whether this is something the dealer can order/procure and install.

What company is offering this extended service contract (I.E. the name on the contract you got)?

fyi, I got a lifetime extended warranty similar to Chrysler's (except Chrysler doesn't offer lifetime for diesel) for $2200 from CNA through my dealer.
