Going to call Mopar tomorrow and ask some questions. The warranty guy (not the dealer) may have not known it was a diesel??? Not sure what I'll do if it isn't good and has to be cancelled. Been reading some good and bad stuff about CNA so I don't know if I want to go that route.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Mine is home, parked in the garage with 25 miles on it.
Paper work with the trade-in, 2010 JKU Rubicon, was a little painfully slow, but after 4 hours at the dealer all is good.

The salesman freely admitted that he did not know all there is about the JGC Diesel, and apologized for no manuals - they are being Fed-ex'd. I showed him that I had all the manuals on the iPad and he was thankful.

Full fuel and DEF.

Only fit and finish issue at this time is the fuel filler door, and it looks like a PIA to get to, to adjust - to be done at first service, or earlier.

Did buy the maximum available MAXCARE - 8/120000 - $2500

More to come with pics over the weekend in the owners thread.

Going to install uConnect UG, register and try to sync to phone tonight, and play with all the goodies.

Yep. (Milous, thanks for the update and VIN.) Good thing I am not traveling this weekend. Big storm in the southwest.

Re: 2014 diesel production

So...am I the only one who can't get VOTS to do anything this morning? Normally it had a few seconds delay between hitting the "Submit" link and anything happening, but today is different.

I updated Java, refreshed browser, changed browsers. Nada. Anyone else?

EDIT1: Can get it running in Chrome now. Still nothing on Firefox. I know Firefox did a recent update that affected Java, but as far as I can tell I did what should have worked...

I could not get VOTS earlier this morning, but it is okay now (using Firefox).

Edit: It is slow this afternoon. Needed about 15 seconds to give info.

When I was trying to get a lifetime warranty, I looked into CNA at one point. The CNA dealer investigated and was quite certain that CNA will not offer a warranty that goes beyond what a factory warranty will cover.

Since Chrysler does not offer a lifetime warranty on the diesel he was quite certain that CNA does not either. Unfortunately, I think they made a mistake with your warranty as it does not specifically list diesel. Don't burn the messenger.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Well, after several months, Wednesday I picked up my SFU. It is a granite overland. So far, the first impressions are very positive. I like the color a lot and the interior build quality and quitness is very good. it in a way feels quite European. For example, on a lot of US cars, hit the dash and it feels plastic-ie. The overland feels like a BMW in that respect...very firm.

The one thing I do not like are the mopar running boards. The dealer ordered them on accident and I decided to take them because re-ordering would take too long. They don't look bad at all.

Where I really don't like them is when I exit the vehicle...they aren't really low enough to offer a place to step, so you have to step over them. That means your leg will almost always rub against them. I drive on a lot of gravel and dirt farm roads, so I can just see that with them, the backside of my pants will always have a dirt streak on them.

Thanks to all that made up the SFU support group for the past nine or so months.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I just had an interesting phone call with my dealer. He said that his contact at Jeep called to say that my jeep fell off a transport and sustained $8000 worth of damage.

How is that for good luck.

The dealer is trying to see if there are some alternatives but he didn't know what those might be. At least he said I could keep the loaner car for a while longer.

I don't suppose any of you are tired of yours and would be willing to give me a deal?
