Re: 2014 diesel production

Hello Guys and ladies,

I am new to your site,I just got my new 14 grand cherokee limited 4x4 eco on this past saturday.

I traded in a 12 ram 2500 6.7 cummins with 13,500 because of problems with emissions related problems lots of O2 ,ecm dpf issues.

I am trying to find the engine block heater cord, any help would be appreciated.

Here are some pic of my new ride.

Should be on the passenger side of the engine bay up near the windshield by the jump start points. They seem to be zip tied relatively short so they fall down between some of the electronics boxes.

Ordered my diesel a few weeks ago and am in 'Production Scheduled' fwiw.

Any idea how long is typical to remain in 'Production Scheduled'?

A few of us recently left that state. It was 22 days.

Received that $500 discount coupon others on the forum had mentioned receiving from Jeep nearly two weeks AFTER I took delivery of my JGC CRD. Fine print says it cannot be used on previous purchases.

Bummer.

I know it doesn't help you now Beechjet, but for others waiting to take delivery, have the dealer call Jeep and see if you are on the list to get one. I was on the list and they gave me the discount. I received the actual mailing after I took delivery. Had I waited to get it in the mail I would have missed the discount also.

I called the number and was told I was not on the list and they have NO CLUE how to get on the list. They suggested I register with Jeep online (did that weeks ago) and or go to a car show where Jeep is showing off their product (I know of no shows within a 1000 miles of my location).
I would have though registering and also receiving the brochure was the correct path. Seems to be very hit or miss...

Tell me about it. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Jeep several days before I picked up mine. It was very frustrating not getting the $500 discount, and I let the dealer know my displeasure. He made it up to me by working out a deal for 3 free diesel oil changes - good at any Jeep dealer (since they are about a $100 each), and found better financing than Jeep offers. He found 1.7% thru capital one. Between the slightly better financing and oil changes, I was happy. See what your dealer can do.
