They may be requested, but they also offer a reimbursement code to send back to CDJ to get paid for it, so there is really no reason why they shouldnt be doing it.

That would be like taking your jeep in for a break job, and having them refuse even though you have cash in hand to pay for it (not that I am saying I would ever take my Jeep to a dealer for a break job). The dealer will get paid for filling the DEF tank. If they refuse, I would tell them that you are going to use another Jeep dealer for your future service, due to their lack of service. I would imaging this would change their mind in a hurry, as this is where the real money is.

Re: 2014 diesel production

So...My SFU was born over 24 hrs ago, and remains "I". Weeks ago, no one would have batted an eyelash at days delay in going KZ. But more recently, it's been hours. Should I be concerned?

...sigh...

Re: 2014 diesel production

There are a few of us CRD's produced on the 4th not yet KZ'd. I wonder if they are taking an extra hard look at those nuts on the Suspension? Would be nice to know so I don't have to make the dealer LocTite them...

You ordered 11/7. It normally takes 6-8 weeks on an order. You are well within this time frame. The first orders had to wait 12 weeks. You will most likely be getting yours within the 8 week time frame. There are a few thing noted on the first releases that I am sure that QC is going back to look at on current builds.

My dealer had none on hand so they went to their Mercedes dealership around the corner and filled me up....I would bet Adblue costs more than the Jeep DEF.

makes me feel like I got a little more out of them.

No doubt Shannon - I am merely pointing out that these puppies were FLYING out of the factory with some of the more recent ones hitting dealers in 5 weeks or less. We then had Marlon come on and say there were absolutely no holdups just a few days ago.

My biggest concern is interest rates - the 10-year has been running again, and the bankrate.com rates have climbed about 0.25% in the last 2 weeks or so...

EDIT: So...uh...yeah. Went KZ a few hours ago. Nothing to see here...move along...

Re: 2014 diesel production

My Jeep was built on Oct 3rd and sat in "vehicle off hold" status from Nov 20th until today when it went KZ.

One of my co-workers used to sell cars and she thinks that might be due to how many cars the dealer sells and/or has on the lot right now. My order was placed through a small dealer so that might be true.

Congrats. Hopefully the rates will stay low. Jeep is still offering low rates. 1.9% on a 5 year loan.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Should I be concerned that unlike everyone who was D1d on 11/12 and their Jeep is on the way, mine is still in MI? Or is this just attempting to find things in tea leaves?

Thanks to all on the DEF notice btw.

Still in the 8 week time frame, so I don't think you should have anything to worry about.
