Thanks for the perspective. Just antsy because all the others with the same D1 date seem to be on the move and mines just sitting.

Re: 2014 diesel production

There was a train derailment here in Tulsa this morning and the article says most of the rail cars were carrying new autos. I hope no ones SFU/Jeep was on that train! Re: 2014 diesel production

Haven't looked at this for a while, thought I would share, my dealer had 2 diesels...one sold before it arrived, and...the one I brought home yesterday...traded our '13 hemi for it. She's been driving it a few days while our problematic 13 was in the shop. I said zero out my lease and I'll be the diesel. Well, they made it work, and now we have a diesel. Lucky it was exactly optioned like our hemi except white paint instead of black, and she wanted white this time so the stars and moons aligned, and I lassoed a unicorn

Congrats! I love mine, I'm sure you will too. We're getting some snow today. Will have to go play in the snow. I'm curious how the Snow mode will differ from Auto.

Snow mode starts you off in second gear.

Interesting. I tried it one other time and it wouldn't shift past 7th gear. Wasn't sure if that was the way it was supposed to act or not.

I didn't go very fast in snow mode over the weekend. I suspect it's going to be similar to sport mode and not shift into 8th until close to 60.

Re: 2014 diesel production

We actually left the dealer, I took it to my work, and swapped my winter wheel/tire set up off the '13 before she got home. I took it out, put it in sport, turned off traction control, and had a hard time "playing", partially because of my blizzaks grab so well, partially because when I tried to drive with the throttle and steering wheel...the nannies kick in, it cut power to where it basically felt like it just died as it straightened up, almost bringing it to a complete stop, then it let me get going again. At least with my charger, when I engage sport mode and turn off traction control, it lets me drive with my foot and the wheel a little bit. It will actually let me drift a little and do about 20ft of burn out before it kills the fun...I don't normally do that, but I had to find out what it would do when I bought it
Gone are the days of my old bronco fish tailing and doing donuts in the snow with no computer thinking it can drive better than me.

Had snowstorm Friday and Saturday - Auto mode sucked with the Michelin Latitude tires on my SFU- switched to Snow Mode and noticeable improvement.( Snow mode also raises the height )

Re: 2014 diesel production

So my SFU has been snagged by the Jaguars. That's the only explanation I can come up with for it being in Jacksonville since 9am Friday morning...

In the meantime, the wife has come totally on board with some form of SFU display, be it a magnet or decal.

Hey, feel lucky. We had the same D1 date and mine's still sitting in MI. Cue the violins...

When it's (apparently) close, the wait particularly sucks!

Snow mode will change your height to OR1 only if you are in 4-LO. If you are in 4-HI, switching to snow mode will actually bring you back to NRH.
