Really poor excuse as there is a Shell station maybe 200 yards from the dealership. However, it is VERY congested traffic at the dealer location. Glad to hear that they came through with most of your requests. Mark and River Oaks offer the best deal around.

Oh I know - and I totally agree. It's a nightmare at 59 and Kirby.

I'll be filling up and going back (he said just put in like $50) - nope, you get a whole tank for my efforts.

I had to fill my tank up with diesel as well, still waiting on the reimbursement as it has been a couple of weeks now. Wish I had the oil changes thrown in too, some of you guys lucked out!

Re: 2014 diesel production

I fueled up and brought the receipt back to Mark. He went upstairs to get me the reimbursement on the spot. While I was waiting, the owner came over and asked why I was waiting. I told him, and he preceded to pull a wad of $100's out of his pocket, and was going to pay me there and then. Mark walked around the corner, and had the $$$ in hand (too bad, as I think he was going to give me a hundred, when it only cost around $75 to fill). They are great people to work with, but yes, it is a crowded dealership on a busy intersection.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I went and put in $75 tonight (20/gal). I'm interested in the fact that evic told me now I am 450 to empty with a "full" tank.

The way it seems to work is that it takes whatever the current average mpg's are on the EVIC and multiplies it by the amount of fuel left in the tank to get miles remaining. I have found that the first few miles after a fill up the mpg's are quite low (unless you immediately jump on the freeway), way less than 20, until you get some miles on the new tank of fuel and the average mpg's start going up as displayed on the EVIC. So assuming 24 gals in the tank and you are showing 450 miles remaining, I would bet that the EVIC is showing about 18 - 19 for the current mpg's.

Does any one know if the average mpg (in blue on main screen) clears if you press and hold okay. I know that the trip meters clear independently, but I have never tried to clear the blue value.

Yes it does. Also from what I remember, the blue average is not a constant but rather a moving window average of the last 300 miles traveled. This is why the figures in blue and in the trip differ even while you reset both of them at the same time.

So in a highly technological vehicle, it does not compute vehicle lifetime fuel mileage automatically- we have do that manually. I should have used the additional trip meter for lifetime mileage. Too late now.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Woo-hoo! Just saw my MOTS update:

Departed Facility 01/09/2014 11:25 PM EST Westfield, TX (on truck to dealer)

I need to contact Mark, and I'll probably make arrangements to fly in week after next (around the 21st) to pick it up (project issues at work necessitates the slight delay). So instead of this being my Christmas present, it'll be my birthday present!
