Re: 2014 diesel production

I'm still thinking of getting the Summit CRD and will stop by the dealer on Saturday to see what the price will be. Right now I think the $70,000+ figure is what I should expect. I hope I'm wrong but who knows.

Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

Who has some experience with this tuning box...
If you go to Porsche forums, you'll find a couple of U.S. Cayenne owners who have bluespark in their diesels. From what I read, it gives you a few torque and HP choices. It seems to be reliable.

I disagree, shop it around for your order. Someone should be able to do better than that!

I will be shopping around but I still expect a $70,000+ drive away price. I'm not in a rush and I'm also waiting for the rear DVD player so I can avoid the sunroof if I can.

No way to avoid the sunroof. Only DVD options available are the headrest bluray.

Doesn't the headrest bluray eliminate the pano sunroof at least? I thought I had read that somewhere.

Nope-the DVD in the headrest eliminated that issue of deleting PanoRoof. Also, correct me if I'm wrong-No diesel JGC will be built WITHOUT a PanoRoof since at minimum, the Limiteds REQUIRE LuxII with EcoDiesel engine option.

On previous gen it did. 2014 has headrest mounted screens, allowing the full pano roof.

He is...

But I know for a fact that you can negotiate at least invoice there, if not less. Maybe a little harder on a CRD but if you have a dealer asking list, find another dealer.

You are correct. Limited requires luxII and Overland requires tech package.

Still a little bummed about that. I sort of feel about the LuxII the way Chivvalry feels about Overlands. I like the pano... But would rather not have the rest of that package and save a couple grand. Hell, I would even pay a grand or so to de-chrome the limited a little

But, by this time Friday I'll be over it.
