....unfortunately is being pushed back to the 3rd quarter. From an excellent source. Sorry folks

So is but safe to assume no more D1's until the seat situation is resolved?

The paint machine has to make them bigger to fit in my Jeep. Just hope mine will be able to clear the underpasses when I drive it home.

Ok so here's the rundown; first, there was a strike.. Then it wasn't a strike. Then it was a supplier breakdown. Then sumn else.. Seems like the story changed depending on who you talked to, and at least 3 suppliers not named Magna were blamed. Which is why I never said, "so and so is striking," bc that would've been poor reporting. Maybe good enough for Faux News, but not JG. Anyway, the fact of the matter is we didn't have all the parts we needed to build a vehicle.. And now we do. Sorta.

Initially I reported "strike" bc that's what I heard from some of the same ppl WHO WORK FOR CHRYSLER that I've gotten other valuable info from in the past. Maybe we were wrong? Maybe it was a breakdown? Or maybe the Europeans flew over on magic carpets and snuck into the suppliers place and stole all the brackets for our seats!? Who knows?.. Who really cares? Again, fact is we lost a couple days worth of production, and it wasnt our fault.

So - are we running now? (I'm glad you asked.) Yes and no.. We do have seats now, but they're not coming fast enough to keep up with the line.. JIT is "F'n-late" at the moment.. Talked with Marlon, and he says dayshift ran 556 earlier. That's very poor considering the numbers we've been doing, but sumn beats the hell otta nothin. Currently where I am, we're down. Mainly bc the whole system in the plant is banked out, and my line runs faster than most of the rest of the plant.

As for that alleged SA strike deal.. I have no info about that, nor has it affected us at all.

I hope everyone can respect that occationally even a good source can be wrong.

We so very much appreciate the update and what you do!

I honestly have stopped checking MOTS/my email first thing in the morning. I've sort of lost the enthusiasm watching everyone else go D1.

This was a nice reminder that I'm not the only one waiting here! :)

You guys in the CRD thread are having way too much fun, or is that just your way of coping with the agony of the wait? Either way, I decided to join you.

I had a Limited V6 gas unit with a MOTS scheduled delivery in just 4 days, Friday 8/30. I released the order back to the dealer late today and reordered the diesel Limited in Granite.

If anyone is looking for a decked out Limited V6 in the Texas market, River Oaks CDJ in Houston has a Cashmere Pearl 14.5 ready for Labor Day.

I may be at the back of the line, but I will be happier come Oct/Nov. Thanks to the many posters that helped me choose the Jeep GC and fine tune my ultimate decision.

Hey Chevyboy, have you seen mine come thru the line. It should be easy to pick out. It will be 1 1/2 times bigger than the rest. But it will have a beautiful paint job!!! :D:D:D

Maybe this is yours...

Thx for helping me figure out what to do with my 1000th post.. It's kinda hard to believe I've been here well over a year, and I'm just now getting to 1000 posts.. Guess I don't run my mouth as much as I thought. :)

Fyi: The Jeep in that pic isn't yours.. It's a pic someone sent me a while back of an export when they started getting the new emblem..

Most of the later pilots got that one, but ol' Marlon says they went back to the "EcoDiesel" badge for NAFTA.. So that oughta make you guys happy who prefered it. Maybe 'they' heard you guys' response to it and changed it back. ;)

Woohoo!

Oh mighty diesel
Our patience wears so very thin
Yet we persevere

That would be me. Any news???

#1,797 ·
According to VOTS, they finally enlarged the door to the paint room so they could get mine out. It now shows that I am in trim. Wooo Hooooo!!!!

Regarding the badges...

Exports get the "Green Leaf Diesel" badge
NAFTA gets "EcoDiesel"

Yeah I'm not sure exactly when they started coming down. Had a feeling something was up when I started seeing the PILOT crew and a bunch of new parts. I haven't been paying much attention lately, I have a LOT going on right now and I barely have time to think. A (almost no longer) raggedy house, school, work.... just never ends. Plus they keep changing stuff around at work... just a nightmare. Everybody's around, the little corner I used to sneak in and post is gone... ugh.

BTW: You guys really need to stop drooling over VOTS. It's a piece of crap. I know from experience.
