I don't think so. They were loading yours on the train when it dropped of the side of the loading platform. Not to worry, just a few scratches. Sending it back to paint for the limited edition Shannon paint special.:lol::lol:

Just ordered my Super Sliders from Rocky Road Outfitters. They now say they fit the '14 WK2, previously, they hadn't been tested. Got my ATX Teflon rims. Ordered the Mopar pedal kit and the Mopar illuminated Door Sills. Decided on a JL Audio Amp and Speaker upgrade.

My dealer emailed me today saying my "updated expected delivery date says 9/30->10/1 time range now.. I'll keep you updated" that seems promising and in line with what I have heard here today???

Hmmm... since I got the VOTS in-paint message early yesterday morning, I figured it would be completed last night. But this morning's 5am MOTS update still shows D1 and VOTS still shows Paint. Was I selected for the Shannon 1000% paint procedure?

Will, is today the day or will it be another week? Hope for today, but gut tells me one more week before release.

Mine advanced from D1 to Trim by 8AM PST today. I should be in inspection by the end of the day today I suspect.

Looks like the Overland CRDs are FINALLY starting to move.

So does anyone (Willx) have a crystal ball saying when my poor gas-guzzling ordinary Overland might be built? :D You diesels hogging up the line are so...oily :)

On a side note...I just ordered a diesel...the wife is getting the above Hemi Overland. Now she's bugging me as to when it will be built

Call me...oil burner that has gas

Too long:lol:
From the looks of history, around a 5 to 10 days (closer to 10), but with this big of a release, it is anybody's guess.

I have been looking at MOTS. I see many Overlands moving within 12 hours of Being built. Others that have had no status updates for a week (Built - Pending Inspection: (I) 09/19/2013 03:13 AM EDT Detroit Jefferson Assembly, MI).

Is this missing data? Or, Does something need to get fixed and there is a backup in repairs? Or, Is the vehicle waiting for some part like a badge or a skid plate? Or, a combination of two or more of the three?

Since mine has just arrived in inspection last night, I am not concerned, nor would I be if it was a week.

I can explain this in great detail for the exclusive Diesel Club...

MOTS does know that almost all of these vehicles have left Inspection and other then a software problem or some production error, they are ready to be put on a truck or train.

Problem is they have all been "Shipped to Storage". This creates confusion about why they are in storage and the fact that as you are aware, even if we did know of some delay that can not be discussed. So the easier thing is to simply say that they are "still in inspection" as that is exactly what you are going to hear from a CSR at Chrysler.

The big clue is when you see "In Bay at Facility" 99.999% of the time that means it has passed the Initial Inspection. Also before you ask, just because your vehicle is in inspection for multiple days, that means absolutely nothing. Often the vehicle that do have a problem are fixed and out in the yard quicker than ones without any issues. Some vehicles just get hung up digitally, not physically and this gets corrected usually within a few days. There is NO ONE that can give us data on why a vehicle gets held in inspection... but remember that is often not even the case.

I still use the term initial inspection when I speak of passing through as at ANY TIME the plant can recall the vehicles for any reason, which sometimes may simply be verification of "no problem".

The only other note I have is everything I say is "likely, very likely, or 99.9 and change percent most of the time. As of course anything can change and I learned recently that a vehicle can actually be shipped without being built first.... Now that is a bigger problem than too much paint

- Dear customer, included is 37 Boxes and 769 pages of easy to follow steps on how to assemble your Jeep. Also included is the Parts Summary with the 12,000 parts including diagrams. Please do not return to store but call this 1-800 number if you are missing any parts or have difficulty with the instructions
:D

confused

Ok, so I'm pretty confused after I read the build sheet from Milous today regarding the mopar exterior appearance group.

Chevy said that is a dealer installed item, but according to the build sheet, it looks like it was factory done.

I really didn't want mopar...I wanted engine block heater.

I have build sheet questions, for anyone that knows.

  • LACS - Illuminated Entry [Is this light in the footwells or light on the ground? I'm pretty sure this isn't illuminated Door Sill Guards.]
  • BNHP - Hill Descent Control [I thought this wasn't available yet; although, maybe I'm thinking of something else]
  • XJMS - Capless Fuel Filler [Surprised to see this on a Diesel, is an adapter available for the truck stops, (one was available for the VW TDI)]
  • 166S - Zone 66-Orlando [I live north of Tampa and I know trains get unloaded there, I also know Trains get unloaded in Orlando, I would have thought my zone would have been Tampa, maybe there is no "Tampa Zone"]
  • XZZS - Mid Model Year Vehicle Tracking [What is this?]
  • YGLA - 6 Additional Gallons of Diesel Fuel [I remember this being discussed but I can't remember why it says "Additional". (It is under Optional Eq.) ]
  • 4HC - Special Scheduling Condition III [What does this mean? I think someone mentioned it before.]

Thank you in advance for anyone that has anything to say.

I think you are confusing this with the Hill Ascend control. Right now it is delayed for CD. Check Milous' post on this.

They still think mine will be delivered on the 7th. I find it hard to believe it will get on the train on the 29th at 4:00am but we shall see. It is scheduled to be unloaded on the 5th in Tampa.

20 days a go a little birdie whispered in my ear saying the train arrives in Tampa on the 5th. I can't believe this is still the plan. The 29th at 4am. I do so love trains. I have been on Amtrak's Auto Train many times. Now with the dog that doesn't work. I have an MP3 File with the sound of a train, but that also doesn't work with the dog, he is scared by it.
OK, so they are telling me my car which may still be in inspection will be at my dealer a week from Monday.

It should look like this:

Loaded On Railcar 09/29/2013 04:00 AM EDT New Boston, MI

Awesome.

"It's got a diesel motor, a 3.0 liter power plant, it's got off road tires, off road suspension, off road shocks. It's a model made with a state of the art engine so it'll run good on any diesel. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"

I just called Jeep and they had no scheduled delivery date. However, my Jeep was chosen for a 100% rigorous test that will delay my shipping date. Which one of you is driving it? Milos! Chevy? :)
