Don't fret to much about the new dates guys. The system recalculated for the lost day discussed. There is a lot of shipping going on but the arrivals I have seen have mostly been a couple of days early.
Can't guarantee but please remember the delivery estimate is just that, and estimate.
Current Status: KZ

Holy crap congrats! That has to be a record as the stars aligned perfectly for you. From order to shipping in like 29 days? I've spent a week longer than that just in D1 lol.
I feel like there is an inordinate number of pilots in this forum waiting for diesels (pictures of a BUF, Bone, 60, Bonanza, AF wings, etc). I'm assuming the connection is fuel awareness and an obsession with extended range?
New to the garage and not looking to step on any toes. Any chance one of you guys that already received your diesel can start a new thread for reviews and driving impressions? It will give one place for those of us waiting or thinking about ordering to find real info. This thread is so long it is tough to wade through it to find specific info. Thanks for all the input, it helped me make my decision.
Still staged for shipment. I was excited when I was one of the first to go KZ, but now it seems that my status changed but the Jeep didn't move! I sure wish I understood the variability in all this...
Anyone looking for a diesel that has not ordered in Michigan? I just had a voice mail from Dick Scott motor mall in fowlerville. They have a limited in stock now.

I haven't been on this thread for a while so apologize if this question is redundant. I was looking at our local Jeep dealer's website and he has a '14 JGC Limited 4x2 EcoDiesel in route that does NOT have the Lux II package. I thought the LUX II package was mandatory when ordering the diesel? Is this a recent change?
When I ordered my Limited 4x4 in August I was required me to take the Luxury Group II package. Just went on Jeep's website and ran the build your own tool. Still makes you take the Luxury Group II when you pick the 3.0 CRD.
Maybe dealers have a way around this, but I couldn't find it.
I just sent a PM to Scott, asking if he can set up a new thread - one above the line - in the area with the ordering info and features and changes. Hoping for a thread for JGC diesel owners, so we have a place to stay connected, and to post info on our new rides. After talking with most of you over the past countless months, I would like to continue to stay connected and share our diesel stories and experiences. This thread has grown to be the third (and is in line to become the second) biggest thread in the garage. Too much info to sift thru in this thread once we take delivery, so I though a new thread for owners would be great. Also, next year, Scott is trying to set up a JGC get together - probably in the KY area. Would be great to meet people and put faces to the names.

I would be in for that get together if I can at all swing my schedule... maybe TN area Smoky Mountains...? Gorgeous countryside... and perhaps a parade of JGC diesels through the Tail of the Dragon?
Charlevoix on the 25th...It matters not where you are. Always thought of myself as a patient person...Not so sure now. Early August was a long time ago. Plus all the time waiting to place an order.
Some of you guys were exploring the heavy presence of folks with aviation back grounds in the Diesel owners group, so I added another set of wings to the pile...
Walt, what dealer did you order through? I talked with my Bremerton dealer, it looks like everyone that ordered through him is set to be delivered between Nov 11 and 13th.
Congratz to you! Make sure and tell us all your impressions. I am impatiently waiting for that call from the dealer telling me my unicorn has arrived. I told them to let me know when they get it.

Staged For Shipment 10/30/2013 03:45 PM EDT VASC - Detroit Axle Yard, MI
Just wondering how long it can take to move from "Staged for Shipment" and "Plant Departure" for a delivery 200 miles away to Ontario Canada via truck?
I'd be very grateful for any additional information on this.
BTW. I happen to know that a Dealer Stock unit is available at Fairview Chrysler in Burlington, JGC Summit 4x4 CRD, White over Black in case anyone is interested...

Ok. My Louisville to Nashville train is now officially taking longer than any other MOTS tracked GC. Its always an 8-10 hour time between departure and arrival and the max layover in Louisville has been 28 hrs. That's 38 hrs. I'm at 50 hrs and still showing "Arrival at Louisville" at Wed noon.
Will says my train had departed. It must have stalled on the tracks or took a detour. Does anyone know how to track a train in the same way UPS or FedEx track packages?
I was curious about this since the MOTS thread shows the last update coming at 6:30am. Then I looked at my update info, and it appears that Milous just forgot to update the last update time.
Mine's on a train too!
Train Departure 11/01/2013 11:06 AM EDT On Railcar - River Rouge, MI
