....unfortunately is being pushed back to the 3rd quarter. From an excellent source. Sorry folks

What would you guys suggest I push for to repair 4 inch to two inch deep scratches in the back passenger door window (on driver side)? I think I am going to push for them to just replace the pane of glass in the window... Aka swap the window assembly. Sound like the best option?

Wills or Milous if u guys can just check on this one for me, is it built and on the way couse me and my wife are thinking to tell my stealership to swap with the other dealer if they could for the interior pourpuses.
She picked Marocco Black, but now more and more we like Jeep Canyon Brown, plus we should have our SFU delivered by Thursday cause our salesman is out on Wednesday, so maybe I can talk to somebody if it's possible.
Also other dealer said it's avalible
Thx a lot I just need a time farm for delivery no specifics exactly where it is
Thx a lot for any help:thumbsup:

The vehicle you are asking about landed at Jessup a few days back and is due to the destination dealer mid-week. Your vehicle was unloaded last night and will be at your dealer around the same time.

Tom Ames at Koons let me know the car arrived last night. I presume that means that the others in the Jessup lot have arrived if at Koons, or will soon arrive if another nearby dealer. I have plans to pick it up next Sat so there is plenty of time to do the PDI correctly, and also to avoid the rush of others who live closer and will surely go get their cars ASAP :)

Update on mileage

Still on 1st tank, EVIC says 280 km to empty which means I should get about 1,000 km from this tank which is about 620 miles. Mix of city and highway driving, lots of stop'n'go (traffic in Toronto can be a bitch) plus a fair bit of idling because everyone wants to hear the diesel.
I'm hoping to get 700 miles out of 2nd tankful.

Re fit and finish - guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Absolutely no issues.

Finally picked up the Jeep (no longer a SFU) yesterday, 3 months after ordering and about 2 years after I started looking at Grand Cherokees.

Dealer was about 150 miles away so I had an opportunity for some good quality time after picking it up. So far all of my expectations have been met.

This is my first diesel, but it is absolutely awesome. Quiet in the cab, but has a healthy 'truck' sound from the outside (in a very positive way IMO). The torque and power leave nothing to be desired so far, with gas mileage to boot. Transmission shifts smooth as butter. Still going over it, but so far I have not noticed any interior issues, paint consistency issues, door or tailgate alignment issues... All is perfect (or I am just not as picky).

Only issue so far is by the time I got home, I noticed the headlight condensation that others have talked about. Also, the dealer did not top off the DEF, and actually told me they didn't have any on hand when I asked about it (guess they don't sell many RAM trucks). They are 150 miles away, so they told me to take it to my local dealer and then send them the bill for filling the DEF... Can't complain too much on that. The EVIC gauge says DEF was about 66% full.

Still checking it out so that's all on the initial report. For those of you still waiting... Believe me you are going to be pleased.

Oh, forgot to add, when I picked up my jeep Saturday, the dealer offered me another 500 off our previously negotiated price (Colorado group buy). They said it was because my name showed up on a Jeep "target direct" mailing list. I was bummed about missing that August coupon, but this makes up for it... Ask your dealers!!

Thanks for rhe $500 question! I am looking forward to getting the SFU soon! I already warned my dealer about the DEF but still plan to check it. If it comes in tomorrow, that would be great as I took the day off to ne with my father, a WW II vet and Pearl Harbor survivor.

Thanks, I am going to take it to the dealer first thing tomorrow. I guess it is a good thing I got the MaxCare package because I will need the loaner car.

Just heard you guys have finally been receiving your Jeeps.

Congrats everyone! I hope they give you years of joy. :)

I'm currently Jeepless, Yamahaless and barely have a Dodge thanks to some thieves. Well not really Jeepless... it's just sitting on bricks, and stuck in such a financial bind that I can't possibly imagine getting them both fixed anytime soon. Word of advice: When switching insurance companies, never trust your insurance salesperson... check your deductibles. :(

Pookie and Ray Ray broke into my garage. Took my wheels, and tried to steal the Dart's radio, and ran off with my Yamaha scooter.

Hey Willx, any chance you can check what's going on with mine? I've been stuck at "Unloaded From Railcar" near the dealership for days now, with today's (11/11) delivery date...

I guess the delivery date is not going to stick at this point but any way to check if the Jeep is on the truck or just sitting at the destination rail yard? Thanks!

I will post a review when everything is said and done. This whole experience needs to be accounted for in my writings.
I hope nobody else has to go through this.

Unloaded From Railcar 11/08/2013 12:00 PM EST Miami, FL Mine has been at the rail yard in Miami since Friday, unloaded at noon that day (thanks for the update, Milous). The dealer said his info from Jeep showed delivery to him by 10 am today. Still doesn't have it. He's called the shipping firm twice today and was told both times they are too busy to track my order down. Wonderful.

Just discovered something I can't believe I missed when I took delivery. The Passenger front door handle was badly installed - seems like the installer missed a guidance pin and there is a huge gap between the handle and the door. Make sure you check your door handles to fit snugly to the door body.
