2014 Diesel Recall for SCR Cat

Don't know if this has been posted yet. After a few years even FCA smells the coffee.

I called my dealer today and they had yet to hear about the recall. Even emailed the service advisor the PDF and all he said was that it usually takes a month or two for owners to be notified and their hands were tied until the recall was attached to my VIN by FCA.

Wow. Everything has been running perfect since the SCR catalyst replacement. Hope this can wait, and also hope doesn't start another line of issues....

Hi BRUH,

You can check recalls.mopar.com for open recalls on your vehicle. This recall will already be populated on the VINs that it includes. I can also check into this for you if you want to PM your VIN.

I put my VIN in but shows no recalls, so maybe there will be a range of VIN's excluded.

Input my VIN to the Mopar recall website...does not show this as an outstanding recall for my vehicle. Already had the SCR catalytic converter replaced about six months ago... No problems since then.

Mine was never replaced yet I'm not on the recall list, which I find hard to swallow.

Also, anyone who has had to pay for catalyst replacement due to high mileage is now eligible for reimbursement under the recall.

I wonder if the recall is not fully live yet? I'm sure they want to have parts available before everyone starts calling to get their vehicles in the shops with no parts available. I received my airbag recall on my Mustang 8 months ago and still today "no parts available"

Site is not updated yet as at least one of us would be on there....

56 page TSB is just crazy.

Our eco-d has ran perfect since the scr replacement, and even with the cel lit it ran perfect. If this recall is real and literally replaces the entire system and starts more issues I may say forget diesel and sell all 3 of ours and start over with gas, probably Toyota.

I HATE all of this emission crap on our diesels!!!

In the case where a recall is not an imminent threat to safety and my vehicle isn't exhibiting any symptoms, my default position is to defer having the recall performed.

I haven't had any P20EE's. My EcoDiesel has no current problems. I hate driving rental vehicles. Therefore, I'll be waiting to have this recall fix applied.

However, if FCA wants to send me one of those "thanks for putting up with all the recalls" customer appreciation coupons for mopar goods I'd certainly accept that--I never received one during the earlier campaigns.

I see on the TSB they need to go in and clear all codes reset the computer after the install of the new CAT. I wonder what this would do to our GDE Hot Tune?
