2014 diesel with upgraded sound system

I couldn't take the "upgraded" sound system. More speakers doesn't necessarily make it premium. Overall the system seemed very flat with no crisp to it, no great vocals, etc.

Today I dropped it off to have the 6x9s, the 3.5" dash, and the tweeters taken out and replaced with 6.5" infinity kappa set. I'm not ready to tackle the sub yet. I'm going to wait and see how it sounds once the guys get it all tuned.

Anyway have been searching and can't find any info on the sub. Does anyone know where the amp for it is located and what the output of it is? I might want to swap it out for a quality aftermarket.

And while I'm here you guys ever have your nav system not know which way is north? Show you on a map in the wrong spot? Have you had it tell you 911 assistant needs to be updated or something like that?

Have you ever updated your Uconnect firmware? The 911 radio error was fixed a few versions back. I'm on the latest revision and the nav still suffers from a "north - up" confusion from time to time where it starts guided nav with north up and not heads up. Dragging the map and then using the back arrow seems to clear the orientation issue.

To this I'd add "what's up with a 'premium' system that only has a three band equalizer?"

Unfortunately, we'll never know what the system is capable of thanks to that limitation.

Agreed. Simple software limitation that's unnecessary
