Then I discovered JeepGarage and the Texas Buy.

Turns out, with the Texas Group Buy pricing, going to an Overland with ORA-II got me the Quadra-Drive II for about $500 more than my price for the loaded Limited. And I thought I already had a good price below invoice for the Limited. No brainer.

Cancelled the Limited, jumped on the Overland with the Texas Group Buy.

Waiting for production as we speak!
When I compared Limited 4X4 Diesel vs. Overland 4X4 Diesel I am looking at +6K for the Overland. I'm wondering if Texas Group Buy Pricing is similar to the Chrysler Affiliates Pricing.

Re: 2014 GC "EcoDiesel" OWNERS!!! Review..

I didn't have access to Affiliates pricing.

I just did all the spreadsheets, equivalent configurations, etc., and found that I got a better deal and better vehicle with the Texas Buy.

So instead of driving to Golden to pick up a loaded Limited, I'm flying to Houston to pick up an Overland! A good chance to visit with old friends in Houston and along the drive back...

There's nothing like a 4 day road trip to really trash, er, learn about a new vehicle!

Re: 2014 GC "EcoDiesel" OWNERS!!! Review..

MSRP for 2014 JGC 4X4 Limited LUXII NAV Diesel ORII is $48,785 and if +$500 gets the overland trim then I’d be going to Houston for pick-up too. The Overland is very nice, but with the pricing I have access to the limited trim offers best value for my needs and most likely route at this point.

It's in the shop now. Jeep sent my dealership instructions for a fix. They are re-routing the injector to a safer position on the exhaust. When I learned that it was a shock to me. I do have the over 50K Grand Ch Limited with options for Auto, Snow, Rock, Sand and Mud. The old saying with confidence of "It's a Jeep!" got me into trouble. I was four wheeling down a short 1/2 mile snow/ice packed dirt road just a few days before the warning lights came up on my 350 mile trip and I didn't even put 2 and 2 together. I guess I'll need to add some protection underneath. Surprised Jeep didn't already think of it.
What is this "electronic throttle" I keep seeming in reference to the Eco-Diesel??? I've always thought that Diesel engines don't have intake throttles like gasoline engines, diesels are always wide open. Confused

Re: 2014 GC "EcoDiesel" OWNERS!!! Review..

Some newer diesels have throttle plates most do not. I would have to pull my plastic cover to see if there is a throttle plate. I am guessing when they say throttle they mean throttle body but not sure our SFUs have a throttle plate.

The Texas deal is way better than the Affiliate pricing. PM me if you want the dealer info.

My Jeep had the same problem. I'm literally sitting here waiting for them to finish replacing the injector as I write. At first the kept telling me that I needed DEF. I fought with them continually showing the manual about the messages and how it didn't correspond with what they were saying. Then they brought me in and I was in the shop under the jeep when they found the DEF injector broken. Strange thing is that the electrical connector that plugs in below the line was not broken. I have no idea how one would break off and not the other. I'm stumped.
