Nice pics indeed! Are those tires the factory size?

Re: 2014 GC "EcoDiesel" OWNERS!!! Review..

Quick review of my new limited 2X4 after a few days. I went to pick it up from the dealer and took it for a test drive. The check engine light and Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Light came on with 25miles on the ODO! I had to leave it with service and take a loaner home. The next day I went back and picked it up. They said the DEF was overfilled??? If it was they sure did drain a lot of it out because it was under half full and I had to add 2.5 gallons on my 2nd or 3rd day of owning it. Other than that I love this Jeep. It drives amazing and better that just about any vehicle i've ever driven. Tons of torque, smooth, quiet. I just hope that I don't have any more trouble with it any time soon.

It's just not acceptable and if that's OK for you, then we have highly differing standards of value for our money. Like I said, it was an unfortunate circumstance and I took the time to write out the experience so as not to leave gaps. My apologies for providing more detail than you cared to read. </sarcasm>
Well written and documented story. Thanks for sharing your unfortunate experience.

No, they are not the factory tires. They are Goodyear Wrangler All-terrain Adventure P265/65-18 (3% taller than the factory size). They are great.

Got the exact same tires and size... LOVE 'EM.

Climbed a really steep goat path over the weekend. Not sure what the actual angle was but I was a bit hesitant to take it. Not only did the truck just trundle right up it but the tires never slipped once. Same thing going down.

I got out and tried to walk up it... I had to climb it instead of walking.

Thanks for the great tire info mtnmerlin and Chivvalry! Two related questions, hopefully not too off-topic for the thread-

1) Did you also replace your spare tire with the same larger-diameter size, and does the spare fit OK, with cargo floor cover completely closed?

2) Did you ask your dealer whether tire upsizing could potentially cause issues with a future warranty claim; what did they say?

1) I did not. I always treat having to use a spare as an immediate trip to a repair location and I expect the diff to handle it no sweat. However someone else, I cant recall who, reported that it does fit if you remove the trays.

2) I did not... but I find that extremely unlikely.

1. I did. It does. The larger tire fits in the spare hole if you remove the plastic tray inserts. The lid closes.

2. I did. I checked with two dealers. Both said that the larger tires do not impact the warranty.

Re: 2014 GC "EcoDiesel" OWNERS!!! Review..

Wow!
I LOVE THIS CAR!!
After about 45 miles of city driving around Houston, we drove back to Kerrville today at the limit (65 to 75mph) with occasional excursions into the higher rpm band and recorded 25.3mpg with a total journey of just over 295 miles.

Really got to know the systems on the way home, thanks to Will's UConnect 101 at the dealership. Very easy and intuitive once you understand the buttons on the steering wheel and how to navigate through it. Loved the ACC...worked really well on the 2 line setting on I-10 at 70mph. Sound system is pretty darn good too....Bohemian Rhapsody at level 32 was AWESOME!!

We are taking "Smiffy" on a road trip to Big Bend shortly and will put over 1000 miles on him. Deb REALLY loves the JGC and wants to drive it and the open roads of West Texas will be a great learning ground for her.

I went over the car when we got home and couldn't find a darn thing to crap about! I put the new Husky Weatherbeater mats in (the tan looks great with the Brown/Frost interior) and will install the wheel locks and new pedal covers tomorrow. Then the fun starts.....an anal polishing and waxing !
