I think he is putting the second charger where the stock air box is. And running the hot pipe all the way across the top of the motor. I think...

Re: 2014 Overland EcoDiesel Compound Twin Turbo Install!

Any ecodiesel with an extra Spinny thing under the hood gets my automatic thumbs up. However, and I know its not mine and I didn't pay for it nor do I have the fabrication skills to do it, I hate that routing.

I'd rather move the coolant tank to the drivers side, or the coolant tank and the fuse panel, than to have that hot exhaust pipe routed on top of my motor. I think the turbo should've gone on the passenger side. The way it is now, you have the exhaust going right next to coolant lines. I know its wrapped, but still the heat is there. This isn't a setup I'd drive cross country with.

Re: 2014 Overland EcoDiesel Compund Twin Turbo Install!

Hey All,

Sorry I haven't been around I've been travelling for work. Picked up the Jeep Saturday and drove it the 6 hour ride home. Was being nice to it but can say now after a few more days of driving it, WOW! Still working on some tuning on the Compound setup, Wastegate spring pressures, Ect... but its FAST... Here's a little vid I shot Saturday. Roll on not WOT.

I have a few questions for you guys running torque. Can any of you log some numbers in a stock or GDE tuned truck, Looking for:

Drive Pressure (Max Value)

PID: 0173
Long Name: Exhaust Pressure EcoD
Short Name: EXST P
Minimum value: 0
Maximum value: 655.35
Scale Factor: 1x
Unit Type: kPa
Equation: ((B*256)+C)/100

Specifically the highest value it gets to under WOT before it starts regulating boost.

hope you don't mind I posted the pictures from Facebook. I've been following closely as my wife actually said ok to get this done once the warranty is up, only 30000 miles left lol

How much drive pressure are you seeing with this new arrangement of parts under the hood?

Re: 2014 Overland EcoDiesel Compund Twin Turbo Install!

The wastegate spring on the high pressure charger is set to 7psi, To date I haven't seen drive pressure more than 5 or so PSI over boost pressure.

To answer your question on a conservative wastegate spring / current setup max boost has been 50psi max DP I've seen is right around 55psi. I want to drive the high pressure charger a little harder, currently the high pressure charger is 15psi over the low. At this point im just trying to identify the stock values and play a percentage on them.

Keith,

If you have a second can you PM me I have a question for you (GDE) about my 05 Liberty (with a GDE tune) and I have a question about a Trans Tune would prefer to talk on the phone.
