Re: 2015 Deliveries?

JavaJohn, sorry to hear that! I'm picking up my CRD tomorrow. Waited a week from unload to delivery. I'm sure Christmas didn't help. Good luck with your dealings. I'll post if I have issues.

Dom, your plate goes on tomorrow night!

Thanks,SCJeepGC. Good luck tomorrow. I'll be sure to give you a shoutout If my return drive home from the dealership takes me through Columbia.

In the meantime, I'm going to be watching MOTS very closely for any sign of life with my order. If there's any movement, I could possibly be on the road for the dealership as soon as next Monday. This whole ordeal is trying my patience. So many delays! It's my nature to intervene, to straighten things out and move things along, but even I know better than to tick off an autoworker or a teamster.

You should have the dealer install it ...

...but it's so easy a caveman can do it( with tools of course ). No offense to the ppl who didn't

Finally! After 4 months, an EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee is in the garage!

Only had minor concerns during inspection today. Tire pressure was set over sticker pressure of 36 PSI. DEF was not filled...dealer took care of that without discussion. Finally, the rear passenger door on the driver's side appears about an 1/8" low. The rest of the trim, along with the gaps in the panels, are reasonable and not a big concern. Noticed other GC on the lot with the same problem... It may be an install issue on the line.

The Tech Package is fantastic. The ACC worked just as expected, and the auto high beams worked as well. No issues with misalignment, bearings, etc. I can't hear anything is loose. Will go over every nut and bolt on New Year's Day. Did find some minor retaining bolts loose in the engine bay... holding some AC lines in place.

Seats feel great for a European/Japanese convert (last four vehicles: Mini Cooper, Audi A3, Lexus is250c, Lexus RX330). Agree that certain pieces of trim are less than other pieces of trim. The stuff that counts (top of dash, arm rests, center console, steering wheel) is fine. The instrument panel is really great... As long as it keeps running like now. In the low 40s... Heat came on and didn't fry me at all. Worked just like I hoped an automatic system would work.

Overall, was pleased with the experience. Now we get to see if I'm one of the lucky ones with no issues, or one of the folks with lots of issues.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

Couple of questions for you all.
1. What does CRD stand for?
2. I ordered a Jeep GC limited Ecodiesel back in October. One of the things I noticed was all the Limited's on the my dealer's lot (gas of course) were dual exhaust out the rear. As I drive around town I see both dual and single on limited and other higher end models. Now all the Limited's are single on my dealer's lot. What's up with this. Do they arbitrarily just stick on the kind of exhaust they feel like that day? I definitely want dual out the back on my Ecodiesel. All of you that have gotten there ecodiesel 2014 and 15, what do you have?

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

CRD is a reference in the MOTS tracking program for an EcoDiesel vehicle. I don't know what it stands for.

I haven't seen a single exhaust CRD for MY2014 or 2015. I do know at least the 2014 and 2015 Grand Cherokees have a shark fin antenna. Older models have a black wire antenna in the same location.

Are you sure you're looking at 2015 GCs? Could you possibly be looking at older models?

MY2015 EcoDiesels are dual exhaust.

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

Nope, brand new 2015's JGC on the lot. There are 3 limited's and one Overland with single exhaust. When I ordered my Jeep all Limited's, Overland's and Summits where dual. The only single I saw was the Laredo.

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

Wow, my bad. Sorry about that. Towing package, maybe? Or 4x2 versus 4x4?

I've got a 4x2 Overland.

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

It was a change from 14 to 15, limited are single exhaust for v6 on 15s
CRD and V8 are dual for 14 and 15
