Re: 2015 Deliveries?

What do I have to do to get the tracking thread so I can follow my GC Overland in Cherry Red I ordered a week ago?

Once it ships, he also posts rail events that show in the system (that's how I know that mine is in GA right now).

The build sheet he provides (Level 4+ I think) once built is fantastic. Lists all the codes and descriptions ... that's how I first knew my '15 had 5 years of SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link and had confirmation that I have complementary owner care for 2 years due to the really long delay (ordered my CRD end of June and had the order accepted by Jeep July 3 - did I say it's finally getting closer to the Tampa Bay area ).

You can find the upgrade information at: Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum.

There is a "public" thread dating back to 2011 about the tracking at: NEW Build status tracking By Milous for site supporters

I've already been getting 28.5 mpg on the interstate in the mountains at 75 mph and It pulled my 4500 lb trailer really well. Got a trip to NYC this weekend and curious what mileage I'll get on flatter ground. I love the ACC but I keep finding myself following someone at 65 on the interstate because I'm used to waiting till I get closer before I pass and I don't always notice it slowing me down. I started putting the ACC display in the center of the gauge so I notice when it sees the car in front. Oh, and the stereo sounds phenomenal.

Billet Silver with the classic black interior is definitely a great choice. I still have a 2000 Limited that’s silver with dark gray (almost black) interior and that color combo will never get old. I’m curious as to how well the Quadra-Drive II will perform since the electronic limited slip differential only remains on the back end. They’ve switched to using a scheme that utilizes the braking system on the front rather than the more expensive electronic limited slip differential. I guess in theory it could approach operating as well as the old Quadra-Drive II with electronic limited slip differentials in the front and back, but I have a feeling we’re losing a little here. Only time will tell if I can tell the difference. The Quadra-Drive is the reason I’m going on my 4th Jeep. It’s amazing how little people know about this system. I have yet to talk to anyone at the dealership that has a clue about how it operates. I think Jeep should tout this a little more than they do.

I’m also interested the adaptive cruise control’s (ACC) behavior. I’m one of those people driving 65 so I’m less likely to utilize it as much as you do. I know my wife probably won’t even give it a try because she doesn’t even like the regular cruise control. For the most part I opted for the technology package for the other three features included.

Advanced Technology Group:
• Advanced Brake Assist
• Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection
• Forward Collision Warning with Stop
• Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

Dealer told me today we are D1. Waiting on an update in the thread. Salesman is trying to tell me the car may be done by the end of this up coming week and delivered to the dealer the following week. Can that happen? I am only 3 hrs from Detroit by car/truck in Columbus Ohio.

I have the ACC / tech package in my 2014 KL and use it all the time, it lets you set how many car lengths distance, I usually leave it on max and set the speed to 80 (10 over where I live).

Re: 2015 Deliveries?

So I finally placed my order this week on an Overland EcoDiesel

Does anyone know if there is a backlog waiting to be built or is it back to the usual 6-8 weeks for delivery?

My build is fairly common so may also try and scoop a dealer stock coming off the line or being shipped out to avoid delays.

Yes it does thank you! Fingers crossed. I'm hopeful I can snag one already being built but that timeline if it holds up isn't so bad.

Dealer actually had a 15' on the lot but it was pre-paint upgrade so wanting a fresh build.
