Re: 2015 Eco Diesel Reviews

That gap between the back seats and the cargo cover is because the backs seats recline a bit. Another nice feature of the JGC IMHO.

Our now retired 2004 Lexus RX330 had a flexible cover that connected to the back seat and the shade case. You could rake the seat backs and cover the entire cargo area. Its back seats also went forward and backwards, allowing you to add cargo space or people space as needed.

You can put stuff under the Jeep rear seats. I like this feature. The Lexus had no space under its rear seats.

Different styles, different designs. Like being able to completely hide the cargo contents, I guess. Could always tilt the seats backwards.

Re: 2015 Eco Diesel Reviews

There are so many with a 2014 and with no issues or problems - that's great!

I've had the P20EE code and hopefully it is fixed - 500 miles so far since I picked it up from the dealer's fix. So far so good. And I love this rig.

Re: 2015 Eco Diesel Reviews

Well I picked mine up two days ago, first impressions love it. First complaint the seats are really stiff I hope they break in well. I guess it's from having the the heated and vented options on the overland. First concern, the right rear wheel has 14 weights to balance it that seems a little excessive. First wow it had single digit miles on it "9" and the manufacture date was 1/5/2015 with a delivered date of 1/28/2015.

And a side note here, I think a lot of the issues people have posted can be dealer "PDI" issues (Post Delivery Inspection). I asked my salesman that after the doing their inspection to have his mechanic go over the vehicle a second time, and told him I would be back in 1,000 miles to have them look it over again. He said they would be happy to. I then went to the uconnect website and entered my vin, it said there was an update, I checked the unit version and it was already installed.

If more dealers had staff that knew what they were doing we wouldn't see posts like " transmission line came loose and was leaking" and " heard a sucking noise and discovered there were no clamps on the turbo charger intakes". I even showed my salesman the pics and posts of Dom's DEF plate and he said bring it in and they would install it.

This makes a totally different experience than when I bought my almost a lemon 2014 KL from a different dealer.
And my last comment: Brian Harris Jeep in Baton Rouge rocks!, my salesman Joe was great. He even told me because I had a deal going with Chrysler that we wasn't going to make a commission that it would only count towards his units sold numbers. This did not affect his service towards me at all.

Since you are in the south - read up on the expiration dates of the DEF and how it can go bad quickly in 100 degree weather especially parking in the sun in big parking lots which act as ovens and retain heat even after the sun goes down. The solution we use is in the summer never keep a full tank but keep it around 1/2 tank and add 2.5 gallons at a time when it gets under 1/4 tank so that you keep on adding fresh DEF and clear out old DEF faster.

Now that you mention it, the dealer only 1/2 filled the DEF when I took delivery!

Re: 2015 Eco Diesel Reviews

Picked up the car from the dealership 1.5 months ago. So far, we have got 3700 miles on it. No major issues, other than a couple Uconnect satellite radio issues that was corrected after next restart.
One complain that I have is the level of various liquids (except from engine and gearbox), were too low (on the minimum). We had to take the car to the dealership to have them to top them up.
Very pleasant to drive.

It's shocking to both my wife and I how much we enjoy this vehicle. The seats are great, the lights are superb. Nice ride, even without the air suspension. Great electronics. My Android phone connected without issues. The iPod works great as well.

Complaints? More storage cubbies could be added without much grief. The cover for the cargo area should hide the entire area...there is currently a decent gap between the back of the rear seats and the cover. The fit of the exterior rear door trim could be a little more even. 3G should be 4G connectivity. Data plan is overpriced. The satellite antenna works fine in the country, but struggles to grab signals in the city. The nav system is a little old school, although it seems to work just fine finding addresses.

The diesel engine is a beast. Great for running down the highway. Good in town. Not too noisy. Just enough diesel feedback to make you smile. No issues, no odors, no insanity so far.

Worth the money? Oh my goodness yes.

I think the gap is because you can recline the seat backs-your dog might not complain if you do this to close the gap

Oops I see I should have kept reading before replying-others have said the same. Cheers!

Re: 2015 Eco Diesel Reviews

I've had my 15 summit for a month or so. Has about 1900 miles on it. I have the rear seat entertanment. 2 days after picking up the Jeep one of the screens stopped working ( passage side) One of the cable connections under the front passenger seat had some bent pins and was not locked togeather. That was an easy fix. Other personal issue. I didn't like the handeling, too much lean in the corners. Had SRT Grand Charokee sway bars installed, problem solved. Love my jeep
