Wife just got done driving to Oregon, and the the overall trip (reset here in New Orleans), shows 30.9. Even if the lie-o-meter is off by 2 that's almost 29mpg! Love this thing.

As long as we get 120k (got mopar 8/120) dependable miles out of this thing, it will have been worth the cost.

Now we'll see what my 6.7 Cummins does on the same trip in 2 weeks, probably half or so.

Rick

Hah the cummins will give you the same mileage towing a 8k trailer as it does not towing. They are the worst in fuel economy but when you need to move a building it's the engine you want.

That is great mileage. Does your Jeep have 4wd or any of the heavier option packages?

I'm only on my second tank of diesel on my 2016 Limited with ORAII and 75th Annv Lux package. I did a roundtrip across the Cascades to central Oregon last weekend and averaged 28.5 mpg. I was pleased, given the mountain crossings and newness of the vehicle.

Our Overland 4x4 with all the factory skid plates averaged around 30 MPG from Oregon to New Orleans and back a couple of years ago.
