afe pro dry filter

Wondering is anyone else is using this filter and if so how is the fit. I just got one last week and had a heck of time getting the air box to close with it installed. I didn't try putting the oem filter back in but did close the box with no filter and no issues there, so wondering if these are just that tight?

The OEM filter is hard to put back on as well.

If yours is like mine, it's not difficult to seal the airbox if you use this technique.

The OEM filter drops in without any effort, but I had a hell of a time sealing the airbox before I learned to do that.

Then again, OP said there was no difficulty on an empty airbox, so perhaps the aftermarket filter is affecting it.

Thanks Roadkill, I'll give that a try and see if that makes any difference. I did disconnect the hose which helps a little.

I see that there are three different types on their web site - what's the best one to use?
